Five years ago everyone would've say Westbrook over Kyrie but today, most would take Kyrie (the basketball player not the person) in an instant, in spite of Westbrook's triple doubles.
It's Magic, CP3, Steph, Oscar (was he a point or shooting guard?), Stockton, Nash, Kidd, Isiah, and Russell in some order.
Kyrie is a better shooter than all but Steph and Nash. He has the best handle and can get to his spot the best of the entire group. He has a ring and hit the game winning shot to do it. He has 7 All Stars and 3 All NBA teams. That's honestly where he's lacking the most: the All NBA teams and All Stars, because he's been injured so much. Again, I don't see top 4, but it's closer than people want to acknowledge.
Well for one thing Kyrie has no argument over Damian Lillard. Dame is the better regular season player and has much more longevity so far. Sure Kyrie has better playoff numbers as a 2nd or 3rd fiddle but he never did well as the 1st option or as the "man".
. He was a perennial loser on the Cavs(to be fair he was young) but he didn't do better on the Celtics where he was awful in the playoffs and didn't do better than the Celtics when they had isaiah thomas. On the other hand Lillard never had other superstars. How would he do with a prime Lebron or Durant taking the heat off him?
Kyrie is not even top 10. Thats disrespectful to PGs of the past. I would not put him above Payton and Walt Frazier either. There are also a ton of other PGS like Archibald, Cousey that I admit I did not watch since it was before my time but they are still greats to be respected and guys I would easily put over kyrie. Top 15 would even be generous here with Kyrie's current resume.
