Ant Man. As he should be. He was the #1 pick in the same draft that Maxey went like 20th. If that draft was redone today Maxey would definitely go much higher, but he still wouldn't jump Ant man

Edwards is the poster child for young players needing the leadership and wisdom of multiple veterans in the rotation.

Imagine him playing alongside old guys like Rondo, Thaddeus Young, and Milsap.

Was just about to say, I'd be more interested to see who people pick between Maxey & Quickley...I like IQ more too.

Only reason you don't hear us much about Quickley is that the Knicks have several other point guard including Rose and Walker.
With Simmons out, Maxey is the only point guard on the roster. Stats and impact are partially a product of opportunity.

Lol efficiency is in maxey’s favor big time.

IQ plays vs bench players and his numbers are bad. It isnt about Rose or Walker.

I'll take Maxey. His IQ and work ethic is some of the best I've seen. The primary reason he's improved so much in such little time. Edwards still has a lot of work to do to be anything more than a low percentage chucker on a bad team.

Why do you say that? Edwards could lead the league in scoring and has all the tools to be a superstar.

I use a very narrow definition of a superstar, especially when we are talking about inefficient volume shooters. What is his ceiling, as an inefficient volume shooter? People are saying Carmelo was an inefficient volume shooter and he still had only 2 seasons with lower TS% in his career, than what Edwards is having right now - when everyone is saying what a great season he has. I don't know if Edwards can improve his shooting enough.

When watching Maxey, I always automatically compared him to Terrence Mann of Clippers.

In his last 3 games Maxey scored 29.3ppg on 69.5TS% while averaging just 1 turnover. People might knock 4.6apg for a PG, but he's a good decision-maker and takes care of the ball.

Still, Edwards is the more valuable asset with higher upside. It wouldn't surprise me if Maxey turned out better (he's arguably better right now) but as a betting man I'd go with Edwards at this point. I'm interested to see how Maxey looks when Embiid returns to the lineup.

Ant's efficiency isn't very good but his raw talent and physical tools are off the charts. Next step for him is to clean up shot selection and be a more willing passer. Maxey is a nice player, definitely taking full advantage of his increased mins.
