Re: The better Bridges
Voted for Miles when Mikal was the hot player during the Suns run to the finals, still voting for Miles now.
Mikal is a great role player, every team will be lucky to have but
I think Miles has all star potential if he keeps playing like how he started this season

How many brothers on one team does MJ need?

Re: The better Bridges
It partially depends on team needs. Miles scoring is up this year but his efficiency has also plummeted and is like league average. It is impressive that his passing has improved quite a bit without his turnovers going up. If Miles had this year's scoring output on last year's efficiency, that would be really impressive. I am obviously biased, so I take Mikal, as he has a very high IQ and is an elite finisher, shooter and defender. He is also starting to create his own shot more. He has that ability but it's not really his role yet since Booker and Paul are the first two go to scorers...then you have Ayton too.

I don't believe they are siblings.

Re: The better Bridges
Mikal for me. Miles is a lot more flashy and takes a tonne more shots but his shooting splits are below average, usage crazy high and defense is average at best.
I doubt Mikal could put up the stats Miles does but most teams don’t need an inefficient, high usage, average defender anyway.
Im taking the guy with the efficiency, defense, intangibles. Not like he is an incapable offensive player either.

Miles easily. Is it really hard to admit that you would look even better with Miles on your team instead of Mikal, Suns fans? Imagine him with his offensive versatility on that Suns team that would open up more space to operate than the Hornets can. Plus he's 1.5 years younger. Plus Miles is no slouch on defense either. Mikal is a great role player, I like him, but gimme Miles every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Well the Suns mainly win with their defense, but Mikal is also their most efficient player at over at near 63% TS%. Last year he was at 67%
Miles would kind of replicate Booker in some ways. He scores more but on much worse efficiency and can't spread the floor as much with his gravity.
I like Miles though.

But you have stats proving that Mikal is f.e. not a better spot up shooter than Miles, so yes, Miles absolutely spreads the floor as much as Mikal if not more. Miles shot 40% 3pt last year when he was taking 4.4 shots, now it's down to 34% when he's taking 7.5 attempts with many off the dribble. Mikal is 40% this season on 3.8 attempts, 42.5% on 4.4 attempts last season.
And you can't tell me Mikal attacks the rim or creates for himself and others better than Miles. Miles is a far superior offensive player and would feast with all the threats on your team.
Plus Miles is a vastly superior rebounder.
And defensively Miles is pretty good too, Mikal doesn't close the gap in offensive talent with his defense.
And Miles is 1.5 years younger.
Any GM would instantly give away Mikal for Miles, you can't deny that. You're just backing your guy, but objectively Miles has more value to any team.

No, you're trying to state your subjective opinion as an objective one. Many GMs look at the #s and efficiency, shots at the rim and 3s.
Yes, I do know Miles had that outlier year from 3 and is younger, but he shot 32%-33% his first two years and just over 36% his last year in college. Mikal has shot 40-43% his last two years and shot 43.5% his last year in college and 40% for his college career.
I have stated if Miles can score that much efficiently, he'd be more valuable, but he hasn't shown he can. PPG isn't that big of a deal to me if they come at around league avg efficiency.
I think some teams would prefer Miles and others would prefer Mikal. But that 40% last year was one year. Otherwise he shot 32.5%. 33% and now 33.9% from 3.
He should have more upside and maybe he gets back to that 40% or so from 3, though you say he shoots a lot off the dribble to hit what he's hitting. I don't necessarily view that as a good thing. Without looking into detail that would lead me to believe he was still shooting very well from catch and shoot but sub 30% from 3 off the dribble...unless you are saying all his 3s are off the dribble, which certainly shouldn't be the case.
To me what is more impressive than his PPG so many are probably excited by is his increase in playmaking.

Re: The better Bridges
wow this discussion always leave me in chaos. as prospect ive always thought miles had better ceiling while mikal the more winning player/higher floor. when suns went to finals, was embarrassed my evaluation was wrong but oh boy this season miles is the real deal.
such a late bloomer I think he can be a 1st option 25ppg guy all star guy.

you usually take the winning guy but miles is the reason why you pick guys like edwards number 1. edwards was not a better player than miles but he was drafted 1 on flash and potential alone. miles is def in that category although i dont think his ceiling is as high.
high usage is good if miles can play whatever the team needs. mikal suffers when someone like cp3 goes down because he cant score 20. and miles was drafted later so no brainer hes a better value deal already.

Re: The better Bridges
I remember before that draft that I really really really didn't want Knox. I wanted SGA super bad, then was fine with either Mikal or Miles. Love Miles attitude from the start but it's been fun watching him improve each year.
