In his first 3 games after returning from injury, he's shown no rust and averaging 23 PPG and 7 Rebs. Last night he was LAL's best player and even outplayed Anthony Day-to-Davis, who struggled.

If the Lakers didn't re-sign him and he was doing this with another team, this board would be throwing a fit like they did with Caruso.

Then as I’m going over data I see he’s just 20 and stopped making the thread LOL. He has really good upside. I’ve always said he reminds me a lot of 2010-2011 Eric Gordon in how he plays.

His role has been expanded thus far. As soon as he was healthy they made him a starter. He was a bench player in previous years.

He is shooting pretty well from outside in these first games. Let's see if it is sustaibable. I pictured him more like a slasher, which would be a poor fit with WB and LeBron.

Taking those open shots is something he should probably write home about it. He used to just kick it out or put his head down and drive. THT the perimeter threat is a different type of player.

First off, good call. There are a few posters like yourself that recognized his talent, but that was few and far between. I'd say in general the board was pretty divided. And I'm not talking about that thread only, I remember all the gameday chatter centered around him. There was always a whole lot of he's a scrub, just another overrated Laker that the team is using as trade bait, etc.
