What are you going to do come playoff time? Sometimes people do not consider all potential outcomes.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

I know other teams have had it rough too, but the Bulls are down 7 players to Covid plus Patrick Williams is missing extended time and Caruso is battling injury and may or not be ready to go tonight.
Has any other team been down 8-9 players so far this season?

It especially comes off as whining when, for all we know, one of the Bulls players (Coby White) could have started the outbreak that has torn through the Hornets roster.

I believe White's last game before testing positive was against the Hornets on November 29th (he played 22 minutes).

On December 1st, it was reported that White tested positive for COVID.

On December 4th, it was announced that LaMelo, Rozier, Plumlee, and McDaniels -- all rotation players -- entered into the NBA's health and safety protocols.

On December 6th, Smith -- who was a rotation player before Rozier returned, and was now once again playing a big role due to LaMelo and Rozier being out -- entered into the NBA's health and safety protocols.

Coby might have gotten it from Vucevic who might have gotten it from Embiid (they played extended minutes guarding each other in back to back games just before Embiid tested positive)

In any case yeah, sorry Bulls fans, you guys are getting hammered right now.

P.S. just to put it out there, a player going into the protocol doesn't automatically mean they have the virus. It often just means they were in contact with someone who has it. So they have to submit two negative test results before they are cleared to play.
Typically it is 8 players in uniform otherwise the game will be postponed.

Bulls like you said still have more than 8 guys though, since they have 19 on their roster at the moment.

One thing I'm wondering is why isn't anybody coming back early? 10 days is only the minimum if you don't deliver 2 negative tests. So for like the Hornets players that tested positive 7 days ago, none of them have been able to provide negative tests yet?

Last year and this year, the should have put every player on a g league roster on a two way. When you roll into town, you play a g league and an NBA game, sometimes even on the same day. 25 man roster across the two leagues.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Putting aside the serious ramifications of 400 athletes traveling regularly to congregate for sweaty physical activities while the world is an endemic state...

A lot of seasons will be ruined for teams that otherwise would be top 5 in their respective seedings. Its gonna be a disaster either way

LeBron gets more special treatment every week than our franchise has gotten since it's original inception

It is not like Hornets or last month's Sixers. yes they did have a few players out but Bulls have 7 players out with Covid + 2 injured - so they have 9-players out - that's basically about the rotation that normally all teams play so that's HUGE.

I am not saying this because of Bulls might lose games but I am saying it because this can affect many teams and it's players and others.

They are probably too out of shape to play anyways...The guys who get sick aren't making it back in a week lol.

If omicron is as infectious and gets around vaccination as easily as reported, pro sports leagues are going to have some interesting decisions over the next few months. Imagine if one of the teams in the NFL conference championships has 20 players out for covid. What do you do? Postpone the super bowl? Play a farce game and then watch the opponent get wiped out for the superbowl with same?

It’s rough but what can you do. Hope for the best and no reinfections for almost the entire roster at this point.

Just posted this on the Raptors board and will post here too. It may be a stupid comment but with the vaccines and boosters being mandatory in almost every facet of life, why the hell do we care about positive tests anymore?

If you haven't gotten your vaccine or booster shot as they become available then that's on you. Continue to wear masks, social distance and wash your hands but we should be able to proceed in society regardless if you test positive or not no?

I kind of got caught off guard when I saw players had to isolate even if they're fully vaccinated. Sucks to see the season get impacted to this level again.

just pick up the loss. does 50 wins matter when your not a finals contender?

Yeah but you all have two 2-way players plus two players signed via the hardship exception. You all at minimum have 10 guys to dress, since your roster stands at 19 currently.

I kind of agree. If your vaccinated and symptom free it should be play on. Not much different than when guys get regular sick and still tough it out and play. At the rate were going they're gonna need another bubble.
