That said, i dont really think Simmons has more value than him. I mean i dont really know what team is gonna look at Simmons, his behaviour, his lack of improvement and just having the 'culture killer/drama filled' tag he has and look past all that. Like im sure a lot of teams would take the talent that is Simmons and disregard the rest for a cheap price, but i just dont know who'd be willing to send out legit talent the Sixers want. but eh, ive had this convo before...we'll see when we see.

Best case scenario, you find a desperate team to give u picks for Simmons, combine those picks with yours and trade for a star who's value has lowered to the point where the fans on your board will hate the trade. Is Lillard there yet?

Portland wouldn’t trade lillard for Simmons unless they got thy, maxey with Simmons which would guy 76ers line up

Dude is dug in on his loyalty thing, and that franchise isn’t usually keen on tanking. He’s not going anywhere.

Plus I wouldn’t give that much for him.

Agreed ; that’s too much but I figure thats where the starting price would be. Sixers should go after hailburton hard though … he would be good pg for them

Nope. Better to hold Simmons than settle for Fox or Haliburton/Hield/pick.

I don't think people are paying attention to who Fox actually is as a player and that he's now making the max. This isn't some valuable asset. He's never going to be a top 10 PG.

Fox hate is getting hot.

Not top ten? Never? I mean…maybe but it’s a long ways from certain. Look at last year’s numbers. Look at his last month’s numbers. That’s Fox. The start this year is the outlier.

doesnt make skip passes, still not a solid team defender, still cant shoot, still has no right hand, still has lacks elite floater game. philly doesnt care about his numbers, they care about his strengths and weaknesses when the bucks pack the paint and james harden leaves him wide open for 2 hours.

The process started with patience, patience is the key to getting them out of this. This saga doesnt end until next trade deadline in all likelyhood when simmons realizes that hes lost a year of salary and they wont trade him unless he shows he can play. only other way out is if arbitration happens and philly is forced to pay Ben Simmons, forcing their hand into a trade.

Fox+Barnes for Simmons+Green

Hali, Hield, Green, Simmons, Holmes -- Davion, TD2, Harkless, Bagley, Len
That's a very good team built around Simmons. I'd have them a playoff team this year.

Fox, Curry, Barnes, Harris, Embiid -- Maxey, Thybulle, Korkmaz, Niang, Drummond
That's an upgraded Philly team locked in for a couple seasons.

The home run deal for 76ers would be buddy , harkless hailburton for Simmons , Thybulle and 76ers next FR.
Harkless is upgrade to Danny green
Hailburton is upgrade and you move maxey to bench or SG . Buddy is another shooter to space the floor

A first is not going help you win this year or next … not sure why hold on to Ben for first … the kings will be lottery picks but not top 3 lottery pick .

You don't think the upgrade from Green to Barnes is similar to the upgrade from Fox to Simmons?

Just like last year it was better not to trade for Lowry?

At what point is Philly going to be done waiting and actually make a move?

Milwaukee took a chance on Holiday. Lakers took a chance on the AD move. Raptors took a chance on Kawhi, Gasol. Philly could have been a real contender in all 3 of those seasons if they just **** did something. The one year they did (2019) they were one crazy Kawhi shot away from having a legit championship chance if they win in OT.

U realize what you just posted.

Bucks moved Bledsoe for holiday who is better
Lakers moved Ingram ball picks for AD (AD is better)
Raptors moved Demar for Leonard (Leonard is better)
Raptors moved JV for gasol (gasol better at
The time)

Get it?

All those moves involved bucks , lakers, raptors getting BETTER players.

Fox is not a better player than Simmons

This is why morey just waiting. Players sixers getting back are worst than Simmons. Say what you want about Simmons brain fart Vs hawks. He was very good in wizards series including close out game. People have short term memory.

But Simmons is being knuckle headed not wanting to show up and play. He would have traded by now if he showed up and put up his usual numbers.

The picks are needed to get an actual difference maker. That’s not Fox.

Last time I checked, Simmons has not played a game since 2020-21. Anything is a better player than Simmons.

You are not getting a better player than Simmons for him. Simmons is too good and he has tanked his value to much to ever get a better player.

This makes no sense at all. The Raps wanted a treasure trove for Lowry who would be a free agent at the end of the season. Lowry signed for a 3 year 90 mil deal and if you think he has been worth 30 mil this year I don’t know whether to laugh or cry since we signed him.

If the Raps wanted a "treasure trove" (AKA Maxey and Thybulle I think?) WTF are we calling what Morey wants for Simmons?
the_process wrote:Still sour Masai asked for too much, huh? How’d that MIA S&T work out, anyway?
Considering it was either take on the 22 year old center prospect (with 3 years on his deal) who has been a terrific defender for us or lose him for nothing... I think we came out just fine?

MIA did not have a chance in hell to win in 2020-21 so they were smart to wait until the off-season.. Philly or LA.. not so much
