It sucks not seeing Simmons play (hopefully he's working on his shot).
Why does it suck? He's choosing not to play. Again, he is CHOOSING not to play. He's decided to hide behind the veil of mental health bc his feelings got hurt and he wants a new team. Sixers would obv love to have him back and engaged.

Cause its a waste of talent rotting away, pretty simple logic.

Simmons is an idiot if true. Go there and fake a back injury or something so he could still get paid. He should follow Kawhis lead even if Kawhi did some have knee issues but it could never really be proven.
did you ever go to a raptors game when he was here. the dude has to show up earlier than everyone else and gets extra treatment on both knees during tv timeouts, it almost looks unfun to play basketball like that. be was weird with SA, but he definitely has a lot of problems down there.

The reason that Simmons hasn’t been traded is that Morey has been unreasonable in his demands. He’s treating Simmons like he still has the same value as he did last season. I don’t see how the offers get better in the offseason. If Morey’s still only holding out for Harden, Beal or Lillard, you essentially have to convince an organization that a guy who’s just been willing to sit out a year, has admitted mental health issues and a pretty fatal flaw in his game is a plus asset and won’t turn into a problem down the line. Or that Maxey, Thybulle and a couple of low first round picks will make up for it. If a team is rebuilding there are better routes out there that don’t end up with you having to eat Simmons’ remaining contract if things go south.

Morey being unreasonable is blatant, thats his style. I suppose that if they traded Simmons, and got back some depth it would of course help them in the post season. Rather than wait and pull the trigger in the offseason.

Sixer fans better hope and pray Harden wants out in the off-season. Morey betting all of this on that

So simmons hasnt taken the perverbial L in this situation as the season dwindles down, he may not step foot on a court this season and still see the vast majority of his pay , wow.

I watched Kawhi play and could tell he wasn't right physically. What I meant by that comment was that a lot of people thought he was faking it because it could never be proven he was actually hurt. Simmons could go down that path but he'd actually be lying about it and still get paid.
Instead he tried the mental health angle, which pissed some people off and seems like it didn't help him get paid either.

Sure. But he's chosen to self rot so for me it's more F him than "it sucks not seeing him"

As someone who has battled with mental health, posts like this are a joke. When I eventually told friends and family what I had been through they thought I was joking. From the outside, I had a fantastic life. Amazing friends/family, well travelled, successful business owner yet still battled that ****. It took me years to get through that ****. So unless you are Ben, then you have absolutely no idea.
I actually posted that I think he had mental health issues dating back to last year when he was playing. His on court issues with not shooting 3’s is a huge red flag but the biggest thing is the off court issues surrounding his sister and brother. Ever since that came out there has been a clear drop in his play and attitude throw in the stuff with the playoffs where he took the blame for the teams failures (even though plenty were at fault), then I can see why he’s going through what he is.

Re: Shams: Philly hasn't been fining Simmons
I’m a sixers fan. Just treat Simmons being out entire seaosn just like any regular acl season ending injury. So he’s out 12 months
What will be interesting is if his services aren’t available after 12 months. Than sixers have other options available. If he has career ending mental illness. The league may need to step in with arbitration what to do with salary cap.
And yes. Morey if he has team owners blessings could stretch this to year 2. It could get very interesting.

Or you know... you've been bamboozled. It's pretty damn telling that he didn't go through the proper channels to ensure he doesn't get fined with his mental health excuse. The only reason why the 76ers are able to actually fine him with this mental health issues, is because he has refused to be transparent with the whole process in getting help.
He played pretty damn well in the first round against the Wizards

Re: Shams: Philly hasn't been fining Simmons
Ok. Let’s say the mental illness is real. If it’s real. Why does rich paul meet with morey last month and say Simmons still wants to be traded
If he had real mental health issue. Paul should have just stuck to that. Rather than include Simmons still wants to be traded.
It’s a very tricky slope klutch is angling here.
So the mental health illness is Simmons doesn’t like his employer? His feelings are hurt?
Notice Simmons has kept an incredibly low profile on social media since the trade demands were known.
It’s all a sad game by Simmons team to use it as the last resort excuse.
