I did not vote for Wiggins and I don't really understand who gave him so many votes or why, but he got them and this is the intended result.

When voting was going on I noticed the NBA was saying "vote for your favorite players" in commercials and on NBA.com and on the NBATV ticker. It didn't say vote for the best players, or the most deserving players. It said vote for your favorite players. So the whole point is for fans to see the players they like.

But still... was Wiggins' grandma at home with burner acounts and an army of bots spamming out votes for him all day? Who else likes Andrew Wiggins this much? He got millions of votes. Did anyone here vote for him? Come forward and show yourselves lol.

Luka should be starting. Wiggins belongs nowhere near a starter.

Gobert - is having a down year for him and overall utah is not playing above expectations even if they are a very good team. Will likely make the team.

Bridges - in the east so doesn’t matter.

Towns - I’d agree he probably deserves it but also he does have limitations/Edwards has just as much of an argument as KAT but that team isn’t good enough to warrant 2. Will likely make the team.

Edwards - a guard so doesn’t matter. Will likely make the team.

That sort of mature and well-adjusted tone has no place on these boards, sir.

Embarrassing for both sides.

yep because a certain nation and certain team fanbois voted millions. derozan and wiggins are probably the worst duo history.
wiggins starting over luka is blesphemy.

GB taking this way too hard. It's the All-Star game. If he's 1st or 2nd team All-NBA would be far more outrageous. I do think he's deserving of 3rd team given all the injuries this year.

Zion, Ingram are out. No way Zion misses out if he'd played most the season.

Rudy is having close to if not the best year of his career. Utah has been playing below expectations for about 15 games, basically since covid hit the team.

Absolutely disgusting that a fourth option got voted in and a true superstar in KAT now has to hope the coaches/players put him in. What a joke.

I'm just here to complain about the fact that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is having a much better season than Wiggins and wasn't even named a reserve. Insane.

Of course this is a travesty and a complete joke. The NBA is very predictable and it hurts their brand. It's a star-driven league but aren't all pro sports star-driven? Book is a superstar and earned his starter spot. Luka also is more deserving than Wiggins. Look, Wiggins is a good 3 or 4 option on a contender but that's it. He has zero personality, has disappointed as a number 1 pick who many thought was the next Lebron and I'm sorry, his team is minus 4 in the loss column when comparing to someone much more deserving, Book. Book can easily play the 3 so don't give me this position nonsense.

Fan votes should have a much smaller weight to determine the overall vote because it's easily manipulated. The all-star game is for fans, I agree, but fans don't want to see Wiggins.

They haven't even named the reserves yet.

A down year for Gobert is still much better then current Wiggins. I meant the Suns' Bridges who brings more overall value than Wiggins due to defense. Edwards is generally at SF for the Wolves (though perhaps was listed at guard for all-star voting).

Not a big deal cause this was truly an anomaly due to injuries. But this probably doesnt help small markets keep their really good or great players because lack of exposure and market size can still have an effect on fan voting. The fact that Wiggins is a starter before Towns & Lavine not to mention Draymond is mind boggling.
