No he was never an all star. CJ to me has always been a guy you were fine being your #2 option, but ideally he would be your #3 option. And probably in an ideal world he would be your super sub 6th man.

A 6'3 gunner that doesnt play defense and prefers to get the majority of his shots off of the dribble. Dont get me wrong this isnt me hating on CJ. There is no doubt a role for a player like this and he is damn good at it. But no he has always been a tier below All Star, especially being out West during his career.


With all due respect I view it more as giving the new guy a pure green light while he adjusts to the team. Shot distribution will be very different in 20 games time IMO
