It honestly seems like every time AD tries to "go hard", he gets hurt. I sometimes wonder if he plays softer and slower on purpose to avoid injuries.

Oh some team will roll the dice on him. Kevin Durant got a full max coming off an Achilles tear, plus another max extension after playin 47 games in 2 years.

FYI - Kevin Durant has played a total 78 games since joining the Brooklyn Nets in 2019.

Lakers should be intelligent and try to trade BOTH lebron and davis 75 cents on the dollar this season.
Get
young future allstar prospects.
some draft picks ( preferably lottery projected).
and some awfull contrats that happen to be off the books whenever someone important like doncic becomes a UFA.

use westbrook the same way, his expiring for an awfull contract and quality picks.

I wonder if it's something more severe or if Davis is softest player to ever play this game.

Regardless he will be out from month to few months minimum I reckon.

AD seems like a guy with a lower pain tolerance than the average NBA player.

I find it unlikely that it isn't broken. His ankle was literally sideways with his full weight on it.

I don't know what's so weird about that. Most ankle sprains where you are out longer than few days more or less looks like this. Total twist.

Lakers just got their ticket out of Westbrook contract. Trade AD , get a bunch of draft picks and rebuild

If I’m the Lakers, I’m dumping him for a KP-to-Wizards type deal & moving on.

Dude can’t stay on the floor for any sustained amount of time. You normally only see that with older players.

Its an ankle roll. Nothing really injury prone about it. Landed on another player which is common form of injury.

Looks like a 3-4 week injury to me, but thats obviously just a guess.

There's no way I'm watching that, having had ankle operations and sprained/fractured/torn ligaments, you name it, in both ankles countless times, it's one of those things I can't handle. I'm mad at the poster above that posted a photo of it and made me look :banghead:

Man that absolutely sucks. That still shot of his ankle is gross as hell.

I cannot say enough times how much I hate injuries changing the fate of teams and players over and over. I mean I loathe the Lakers in general (no offense to diehards here, y'all coo) and have always raised a brow (snicker) at Davis' seeming predilection to common minor injuries, but that looked brutal.

It's a lose/lose. Now I have to hope that we hear it's a minor sprain after all and he'll be back in 2 weeks, and the cycle of hating on AD for his injuries will continue. Sucks.
