I agree. They're borderline contenders. They're the 4th best team in the tough eastern conference.

Of course, Nets are arguably the best when healthy but durability and lack of depth is their biggest weakness, something that can't be ignored the way this season has played out so far for them. Come playoff time, you can't be confident than either one of Durant, Kyrie, & Simmons will show up. Matter of fact, gun to my head, I'd say that all 3 won't play together in game 1 of the playoffs (or play-ins).

They are trending in the right direction for sure but Bucks is still the team to beat in the East. They are not a very flashy team but they find ways to win in crunch time coming from behind against great teams. It's not a fluke they've done that a couple of times this season. I see the Celtics as the Bucks team once they reach that next level, and once they get more battle tested like the Bucks last season

So many hot takes and so much homerism from fanbases here.

The reality in my mind is somewhat different. Any team from the top 5 plus Nets could come out of the East. I would be surprised if it was the Bulls or Cavs. Somewhat surprised if it was the Celtics or Nets or Heat. Kind of reasonable if it was Yiannis and Co or Sixers.

Cavs are too young and have too many injuries at the guard position - are their starters coming back in time?

Nets have the ammunition but lack the health element. I think Durand is the most all around offensive player in the league. Is simmons expected to play this year ?

Bulls will need Lavinne and De rozan to step up - i think come ps they lack the star element.

Sixers will struggle in D but if Harden and Biid play every single ps game they’re kobe and shaq lite.

Bucks have Yiannis - thats all you need sometimes.

Heat have an interesting well rounded roster ; good fundamentals, good shooters and a couple of great veterans.

Celtics have had ups in downs in the shooting department. They can show up and completely dismantle you or show up and miss 30 threes in a game. Their defence had been elite.

Anyone can come out and win it. Best East in years.
