Jokic’s unselfishness and impact makes him the clear MVP.
He shows up in the scoring department when the team needed him most. He didn’t need to get his 30 point games or that type of bs. He plays to make his team better, to win, and doesn’t run his mouth off like a true winner.

Considering the amount of carrying this lad needs to do his assists and points should count for 2x in the stats department. Other than Joker that team has little talent available - are they on paper in any way better than Lakers sans Bron ?

I thought they’d be at best a .5 team and instead this monster is most likely getting them to the postseason.

It's a random statistical nugget, but I would have thought Olajuwon, Jordan, or Wilt might have had a game with these stats if you had asked me if anyone else had done this. Still, just naming those players gives you an idea of the type of player required to do something like this.

I have no idea how accurate these numbers are, but if you go to http://www.nbastats.net/ and scroll down to Unofficial Stats (part 1) and download the list, Wilt supposedly had two Quintuple-Doubles(!) with 40+ points. We can only imagine how many 40/10/10/3/3 games he had in his career. I think more than 10 could be a conservative estimation.

By the way: I just love Jokic!

Jokic has been my favorite player in the league since he came in, but one of the big knocks I had on him was lack of aggressiveness on the offensive end early on. The last couple years he's completely erased that, especially this year.

I see a lot of the same things with Sabonis, so I'm interested to see if he can take an extra step similar to Jokic.
