I had Bane on my fantasy squad this year so I followed him closely. People want to talk about Ja's improvement this season, and rightfully so, but for me, it's Bane's rapid ascent that has completely changed the dynamic of this Memphis team.

Memphis dominance without Ja is one of the most insane things Ive seen in the Nba in a long time. They look like an alltime juggernaut without him.........Its absolutely insane.

Not as easy as the entire Raptors lineup hand checking, reaching and commiting body contact fouls on every possession with no call

They are like Philly lite in that regard.

Scottie Barnes has thrown like 4 hips into Cavs guards on screens and im reasonably confident not one has been called and FVV has never seen a push off he didn't like. He just pushed off Okoro to call a timeout hahaha

Memphis is +1200 to make the finals..........I think you HAVE to take that bet at this point. Utah (LOL) and Denver (WTF) having better odds is absurd. At most Phoenix and Gs and Memphis has looked like a bad matchup for Gs for 2 seasons now and eliminated them from playins as a much worse team than they are now

They looked like a promising young team with Dave Joerger and they fired him too after a good season. They gave the Warriors fits that season too all the games went down to the wire.

I agree completely. His becoming an offensive force as opposed to simply a knockdown shooter has raised the ceiling for sure. The second biggest thing was going from J Val to Adams. Adams does two things that make us much better….A he is more active on defense and can guard and at least show at the top of the key( Morant and Valancinus we’re getting killed there) and B. They don’t have to run the offense through him and he’s not a ball stopper like J Val so you have this young team with athletes everywhere just flying around on offense and defense.
All that being said, this team gets its “ I don’t care who you are, fu#% you anyways” attitude from Ja, and it has trickled down to Bane, JJJ, and Dillon has always been that way.

The Grizzlies are better without Ja. You can hype him up all you want. You can hype him up because he’s so flashy and entertaining. But Memphis has shown time and time again they’re better without him.
