There is a play-in tournament for the 10th seed and smoothened draft odds. What more should the league do?

Both lineups would still beat the Kansas team.

Hmm... come to think of it, OKC wouldn't.

honest question, does someone force you guys to watch thunder games? it seems like that sometimes

the only people who have the right to be angry about Oklahoma, a team thst has been in the playoffs almost every year of its existence, tanking to become competitive again like small market teans are forced are Oklahoma fans

seriously, we spend a decade plus as a perennial play-off team, we are bad (and not even the worst team) for 2 years as the smallest market in the league and the sky falls lol

OKC got royally screwed in the lottery last year after doing something similar. I think they had something like an 85% of getting at least 1 top 5 pick, and a decent chance at getting 2 top 5 picks, and they ended up with the 6th.

Wonder if it happens again, if it does I’m going to start thinking Silver has a say lol

I'm not angry at the Thunder. I'm angry at the NBA.

The draft and rookie contract scale are a disgrace and shouldn't exist. Whatever competitive balance concerns you have about players trying to sign in one city don't apply when you have a luxury tax/soft cap.

Yes I said it the draft shouldn't exist. Players should have the right to pick their employer. Teams shouldn't be incevitized to intentionally lose games, which is what happens right now. The Thunder/Blazers organizations are actively throwing games. I don't see it any different than Donaghy.

OKC could have had Mobley AND Barnes if the ping pong ball fell their way last year. Imagine that lol.

Ya they went from getting Mobley and Barnes maybe to just Giddey. That was the basketball gods shaming them for so disgustingly tanking.

honestly i just get a bit mad everyone singles us out for tanking for once as if their own teams have never done it lol

everyone is a sinner here lol, but everyone has it out for us the super small market team that was a play-off team or contender for 11 years straight before tanking

To be fair Portland started the season trying to win but injuries ( legit injuries) derailed the season. Dame started the season injured before needing surgery, CJ missed several weeks with a collapsed lung, Norm Powell missed a multitude of games with injuries before Portland traded him and Covington, Nurkic, Zeller, Nance and Little all missed games before Portland decided a rebuild/retool was necessary. And yes I suspect that Simons, Hart and Nurkic could possibly play but I also believe it's possible that they do have real if not serious injuries so why risk them in a lost season?

Portland has actually done pretty well in the draft.Dame, CJ, Simons,Trent and Little( who was playing well before being injured) were all Blazer draft choices. Greg Brown III is also looking like he might be a contributor soon.

Never, ever, forget that. Muscala is a folk here to some for that trey hit. Just ax them silly-billys in Philly on that podshow

They got Josh Giddey with that pick. So no harm no foul

The only reason I don't like this is because Hinkie got canned by the league for doing the same thing :nonono:

Starting penalizing teams draft picks for blatant tanking.

Only on the GB would someone say the Blazers suck at drafting, when we have had solid draft picks throughout the years. We lost a few to free agency and other's to injuries like B. Roy but Blazers are one of the better teams at finding talent.

**** Simons and Little both were recent draft picks late in the draft, and one is looking like he could be a superstar the other looks like at least a solid starter.

We might not be the best team in the NBA at drafting but I would suspect over the past 15 years we are one of the better ones.

if you get a top 4 pick, the next year the highest you can pick is 5.

The team that got crewed in the lottery was the Magic.
