He shouldn't have left Miami. He shouldn't have left Cleveland the 2nd time.

Which team would trade for a player like Lebron on effectively a 3 year $140 million contract?

Huh? Like most of the league depending on what they wanted in return. He is not bringing back a lot of assets but he would bring back a decent return. Good prospect and some picks.

the best scenario is sign and trade whether its a 2 or 4 yr. let golden state implode.

Over 38 rule comes into effect.

There's a reason LeBron is signing 2 year extensions, it's because the Lakers can't practically (CBA) offer anything longer because it no longer matters whether they offer a 2 year or a 4 year, it all turns into a rolling yearly max expiring contract (depending on when LeBron wants to retire).

In terms of on-court production, LeBron is still the best player the Lakers have, and with off-court production, he's definitely paying off his own salary and more.

Im not sure why you would unless he was younger especially if you just finished outside the top 10 in the West. Maybe had he been there 7-8 years or so it would make sense.

Honestly, can't wait for him to go back to Cleveland and tear apart what they have going from the inside.

going back to cleveland was the right move in every aspect

going to lakers was questionable but after kyrie suddendly leaving and with his own injuries in los Ángeles his prospects in cleveland were not much better than los Ángeles tbh

Of course they should. He’s still a productive, top 10 player. Not to mention his value extends beyond on court production. It’s a no brainer.

They are already irrelevant with him.

You must live in a bubble with no access to any basketball news/websites. Lakers and Bron coverage/conversation is everywhere regardless of how much they sucked this season.

Like others stated, he more than makes up the cost of his salary with all the massive off court financial benefit he has for the team and city with his inclusion.

Despite what happened this season, you aren't going to get a better start at building a competitive team in LA than a Bron/AD Duo. Without their picks they can't really tank and face it both guys trade value are at the lowest in their career with age and health being the biggest factor.

Will definitely get a better start by trading LeBron.

get on the red phone to miami and ask riley what they should do

the question is, of course, why should the lakers expect lebron to fix this??? he's already getting the lifeboat for one ready

also with the end of the superteam, with the past decade's stars getting old, and with parity and youth taking over, THERE IS NO BETTER TIME to jettison lebron and start over. the worst teams in the nba still have 20wins and extract their pound of flesh here and there

and there's no way any sane team should draft bronny. on that issue alone,,,,lebron is gone

cash in on lebron, the lakers are still a destination

If he really wants to play with his son then he can't sign a max extension - it would make him impossible to trade.

From the Lakers perspective, LeBron generates more money then he'll ever earn but it's incredibly risky offering old players max contracts as the Lakers themselves discovered with Kobe.

if their guiding light is making $$$$$$$$ in the couple of years lebron is there instead of rebuilding,,,then lal is truly hopeless. just one mistake on top of another

He will not remain in LA, i could see a scenario where if the heat dont win the title they will trade everyone except bam for him....they will dub it the reunion or some bs.. miami will do anything for there 4th title, and im sure bron will do anything for his 5th. lowry/bron/bam will be a nice little core of strong youth/vet power. Bam is perfect too because hes a great defender..

Any team looking to add him will need to be weary, you would want to have someone who can keep him in line cos he isn't the best player on a contender anymore but he will act like it. Add him to an up and coming team and watch him become toxic in the locker room blaiming everyone but himself. He's basically a bigger Westbrook waiting to happen, thankfully his size will prevent him from going full Westbrook.

Lakers sold their future to win a ring with him, he's a mercenary and doesn't deserve any loyalty.
