If anything shows that this year, the playoffs are not garnering more viewers, interest, etc, he will blame it on his absence and claim how important he is to the sport. Maybe he will compare it to the 95 season when MJ wasn't there, and show how the dropoff of him being absent was much bigger than MJ, thus making him the definitive GOAT.

Local Lebron stan psychologist here. I understand the Lebron stan brain better than anyone. Let me explain why I think they're burnt out.

Since the sweep of 2018, they've used a plethora of excuses involving 'injuries'.

2018 - broken hand apparently

2019 - 'groin'

2020 - 4 months off at the Mickey Mouse compound with team success: healthy

2021 - Front running against the Suns; AD goes down; Lebron beaten to a pulp: 'injury'

2022 - this is very interesting. He's "injured", but sprints like a cheetah for uncontested fastbreak dunks, and stays in games during blowouts for meaningless points. Also quit on his team when their season was in the balance only to maintain his PPG against crappy defense teams while playing zero defense.

Prediction - They continue their unwavering trajectory of cognitive dissonance, crunch some arbitrary numbers, and create new stats both for propping up Lebron and to crap on his teammates.

Also, all the players that Lebron stans called scrubs are on teams that are having a better seasons than the Lakers with NO all stars.

This has to hurt the worst. The young guys who were 'irredeemable' are actually pretty effing good despite the number crunchers at realgm and media puppets.

LeBron gets ratings but by only focussing on LeBron they don't get anyone else to become draws, it's a vicious cycle. Even Curry only really became a household name because he faced LeBron in the finals for 4 years straight. Then the only other thing they do is jump on hypetrains that existed even before the NBA like Zion instead of pushing the amazing talent we already have in the NBA like Giannis, Jokic, Embiid, Tatum, Luka, Booker etc.
