While the Nets got swept, every game was very close and winnable. Someone like Jeff Green, who they had last year, would have made a huge difference for them in terms of defending the Celtics wings better.

Hope someone thinks Browns 40% 3 point shooting is sustainable and offers a ton. Not that I think he is good, but I don't think nets have the ability to replace them with their limited weapons. Their rotation may be 5 returning guys (including guys like BS and KI who like to miss games) and 4 vet min guys. That's a recipe for disaster with an aging KD.

I could see someone offering $15 mil per, which I don't think they could match

It gets interesting where even if they could match, would they? I assume they would be at like $170m at that point (assuming KI is back) and in the 4x? Tax bracket? Maybe the owners have a bottomless pit, but it would be $60m a year in actual dollars for Bruce Brown on essentially the same team swept in round one. Do they balk at that?

You're trying to trade the wrong guy.

The future has already been mortgaged. Time to foreclose on the house and keep the Camaro in the front lawn.

Ill make a prediction that Simmons never plays a game for Brooklyn and that the Nets get Westbrook, THT and picks for Simmons.

Brooklyn clearly has good cornerstones with Irving and Durant. If Simmons can play obviously that helps.

My general thoughts with super teams are that they really don't need a coach but clearly Brooklyn needs one that knows what he is doing.

Chemistry. Time and time again the most underrated part of winning a title is team chemistry. It takes time.

Not sure what you really do. Probably give it one more go with Kyrie/Durant/Simmons. Nash has to go, but i have doubts if he actually will.

Marks actually did a solid job before being dealt this hand. Nash probably has to go. Being the first team eliminated from the playoffs is definitely worse than expected. Hard call between waning or treadmill based on next season

Get quality bigs? How are they supposed to do that with their current cap situation? Irving’s about to be signed to a max extension and they already have Durant and Simmons linked on incredibly expensive contracts. They have very limited options as far as free agency is concerned.

Haha seriously, terrible coaching and need more young defenders and hustle types.

the Nets will do their best to put a real team on the floor next season for the first time in 3 years.

- Front office needs to chill and not overhaul half the team, midseason. Find some useful guys and let them play a season together.
- Injuries and absences were brutal. Joe Harris and all their stars. Kyrie and Ben Simmons. Durant. Where did Aldridge go?
- Who was their most valuable player this year, Bruce Brown or Patty Mills? Nobody else played enough games to really qualify.
- Durant somehow played over 2000 minutes in only 55 games. He turns 34 in the offseason (side note: i have the same birthday as KD but I'm a year older).
- Keep Steve Nash unless internally they see him as bad. Firing him now is a pure optics move. Guy coached a different team every 2 weeks. The FO gave him only old big men to start the season, and then made him finish it with only small guards. It was insanity. We have no idea if he's a bad coach. I would like to see him coach in more normal circumstances so maybe he should just quit and get a better coaching job lol.
- Find some good defenders who can stay on the floor in the playoffs and then promise us no more injuries and no more transactions.

I think Nets should get a new coach though.

Not sold yet Boston . Brown has to little bit better when Tatum sits. The nets nearly won that game . They will be in discussion for sure

Everything is up in the air …. With what Sean marks wants to do ..
If he thinks nash is good coach then nothing will change with the team …
I’d look into Kyrie offers on the low ..

Kyrie’s going to retire. Won’t put in his papers and the Nets will pay him but he will retire. Got a pretty good jump on it this season.
