Where’s he gonna go..? Chicago is likely going to offer the Max. He ain’t turning that down imo.

Offering him the max would be a huge mistake.
He will receive the max, but like you, I believe it will be a mistake, because I don't believe the impact he makes is great enough. However, we see plenty of third options being paid max money.

Third option on a true championship team.

Portland should do a sign and trade with Simons, makes sense for both teams IMO. They can complete next season with simon’s (check out his starting numbers and percentages this year), VUC, DDR, ball and Pat Williams. But can also pivot in a year or 2 to build around Ball, Williams, Simons, White, etc.

PDX puts a legit all star next to dame finally and a backcourt partner taller than 6’3.

He’s 27 and gets better every year. He’s the future of this team, it’s time to try to build something now and add to it, not do another Jimmy Butler trade.

No freaking way, Bulls are going to pay him Max as they should. Even as hobbled as he is (most players would not have played) but he gutted it out since this was his very first chance at playing in the playoffs.

When healthy, Lavine and Lonzo were super dynamic and that's Bulls' future (along with Ayo, PWill). Bulls can not afford to lose him.

You don't believe Simons will become a consistent all-star?

I haven't been impressed by Zach Lavine. While he can be exciting and is a 2x all-star he's not the type of talent that's going to lead his team. More of a second option type or even third.

I obviously want the Bulls to win as a fan, but now I am daydreaming at how wonderful realGM (both the GB and our Bulls forum) will be if our scrubs - literally the worst bench in the entire NBA playoffs right now - pull off a wild upset. The hot takes would be glorious.

Come on Bucks, give us the next one. It'll totally be worth it.

I think Simons will be if he’s in the east and leading his own team. This is about pairing Dame with someone taller than 6’3 and Lavine would be a great second option behind Dame.
