Imagine calling other team stupid for not trading for Kyle Lowry.

He’s not 100%, and well past his glory days. If he’s your backup, great. But he has no business being a starting PG at this point in his career.

typical of Kyle to play in meaningless games throughout the season, taking charges etc. and then playing through injuries thinking he's helping his team

one season with the Raps, he was hurt going into the allstar game (elbow) but still participated in the 3point contest

he has an odd understanding of what "being tough" means and thinks playing through injuries is something to respect

Lot of young dudes commenting here. Can still play well when you age but playing well when old and injured is **** hard unless you get the painkillers just right.

Why did the Heat extend Duncan Robinson for 90mil? Did they get confused because of his name and mistake him for Tim Duncan or David Robinson?

Ah people ignoring the injury unless it happens to their favorite player. He's not a big numbers guy in general, but im sure he'll contribute well again when he's healthy again. Also he's 36 years old. No longer in his prime so not sure what people are expecting out of him. Putting too much pressure on this Heat team for what reason again?

Couple of things: he's been injured and trying to play through it and Butler likes taking control of the ball a little more in the playoffs.

Clearly playing hurt. Do think he shouldn't have played in the last two though. No sense in playing half a Lowry and aggravating the injury.

So you didn’t actually watch Lowry play. Got it.

Hamstring injuries take a long time to recover.

I find it weird that someone is taking a dig at a player that is clearly, and quite openly, playing through a hamstring injury. For a shift guard like Lowry, that takes away a lot of his offensive game in the half court.

Kyle is exhibiting the grit and toughness all fans want to see from their team's players. Just because he isn't blowing you away with his output doesn't make his effort any less commendable.

I think if they replaced Lowry with Oladipo in the starting 5 and play him 20-24 mpg they will be in a better position this series. The Heat's offense needs guys to get to the rim, or have Bam control the high post, to unlock their shooting.Bam is not controlling the high post against Joel, and Kyle isn't beating anyone off the dribble in game 5, so I think he needs to be benched.

I also like the idea of always having a big athletiic body on either Tyrese Maxey or Harden.

I also find it funny that people can't seem to get away from this 'playoff choker' narrative, despite it being clearly not true and disproven multiple times.

The Derozan/Lowry Raptors made it to the ECF and multiple 2nd rounds appearances on the back of Kyle Lowry. Did he have bad shooting playoffs series at times? Sure. But he also had multiple good ones and even in the bad ones he was delivering value.

Somehow the Raptors were winning and it definitely WASN'T Derozan.

It's commendable, but stupid because it's clearly hurting the team. It's one thing to play with an injury like Embiid and still perform, but Lowry can barely walk. The Sixers don't even need to guard him he's so ineffective right now.

PGs are supposed to be finished by age 36. Playing deep into mid-30's a relatively new thing. And Lowry didn't exactly conserve energy or protect his body when he played for the Raptors. He gave his all to that franchise.

Conley, Dragic, Rondo & Lowry started to show their age this year. CP3 is a crazy outlier.

It was a questionable signing at best. 30 mil a year for 35/36 year old player who is under 6’1 is questionable. That’s not even counting his playoff reputation. I can understand the gamble on Chris Paul but Lowry is not in the same level. All season I was told wait for playoff Lowry, well the playoffs are here and thanks to his injury he is living up to that reputation.
