No one is saying that - they're saying he needs to be at his 'Duke Weight'
You guys want a grown adult to look like how they looked in college ??
Does that make any sense to anyone ?

With his current look I'm going to be very disappointed if he doesn't go as Balrog for Halloween.

when you look like Zion Williamson did in college, uh yes
the last thing in the world he needed was to rapidly add 30+ pounds of fat onto his existing college frame

Re: Zion looking good
He looks good. More muscle, obviously still more body fat %. Looks much better then earlier this season.
What would make him look great?
I think he would need to lose 30 more lbs. that would get him as lean as possible and outright cut to 7/8% body fat.
A lot will say it’s extreme but we’re looking at a young athlete that has chronic injuries , knee issues, and is generally looking like a first ballot diabetes/metabolically diseased sports star.
Losing 30 on top of this, even at the expense of muscle, will get him to realize his potential and help his play style.
He’d be down right explosive and nimble around the court, yet still be a bull in a chinashop.
It’d also help him make sure even if he gained 10/20 lbs later in his career, he’d still be good.

Looks good to me. I also made fat Zion jokes, but some people are so stuck they would call him fat if he came here looking like Robert Patrick in T2.

As if most people in college are not his age. Or older.
Did that post make any sense to you?

Yup. All people are saying is those who watched him while he was at Duke, they're saying that is the ideal playing weight for Zion. That is where he had his truly crazy mix of strength and explosion. I dont think anyone is saying he needs to look like he is getting ready for a bodybuilding competition. People just saw how he looked athletically at Duke and how he has looked since then, and just plainly stating he should get back to his Duke weight.

You are making up numbers / u have no clue how much he weighed at Duke and how much he currently weighs. All those #s could be cap or just show a snapshot of what he weighed at that time.
It's damn near impossible for a 21yr old to look like how he looked at 18 and is unrealistic to expect otherwise.
You guys are all acting like every body is the same and not unique, when assessing humans who are at/near the peak of their athletic careers.
Am I saying that he doesn't need to be in better shape, no, any human could always be in some sort of better physical shape, but let's not all act like we're nutritionists or nastradamus here

He's not in college, he's a professional athlete. How many professional athletes look like how they look in college. It's absurd.
Between the ages of 18 n 22 you expect to not look physically different.
Does that make sense to you ??

Ya it does. Not everyone is built like Brandon Ingram when they're in college and automatically no matter what are going to put on weight. Zion already had a "grown man's" body. Compare him to another Duke guy that was built like a truck the second he stepped foot onto Duke's campus. Look at Semi Ojeleye when he was at Duke and SMU, the dude was massive. Look at him in the NBA (when he's chilling on the bench haha), the dude looks the same and is still built like a truck. Because he hasnt put on any bad weight. The difference with Zion is he has put on a ton of bad weight since leaving Duke. He is a professional athlete, putting on bad weight isnt some given.

I still hope he loses the amount of weight, that doctors and experts think would be best suited for his playing style. Seeing someone who is that talented and dominant career ending too early, because his legs/feet/knees can't handle the weight would suck.

What do you consider insane? And showing definition and vascularity aren't 1:1 either. I mean, I'm just glad this guy has a chin again!
