Looking at the world today and the state of things, I really hope this is true.

PS And the rare times that people do acknowledge the future, it's usually a future they've already mapped out and predicted in the present, just to show how "advanced" they are.

Sigh. Who am I kidding. I'm no better than anyone else.

and when it comes to athletics the next revolution will be in gene editing. We're already seeing hints of it with CRISPR and some of the things Chinese scientists have done with babies. Humans literally genetically modified to be super athletes among other things.

By the end of this century a LeBron James will probably seem closer to Bob Cousy than whatever modified athletes exist at that time.

JJ definitely turning into a clown. So disrespectful to the people who paved the way for his ass. He’s doing a lot more hot takes on EPSN now. I think him hanging around First Take is having an effect on him.

Redick was getting a bit too big for his britches. Nice to see him humbled by the wisdom of a legend
a slave stood behind the conqueror holding a golden crown, and whispering in his ear a warning: that all glory is fleeting

JJ Redick hating on the older players that were way better then him makes no sense. I now he's a fanboy of the current players but you don't have to bash the older players to uplift the current players. Gilbert Arenas does the same thing.

Him and Matt Barnes both come off as D Bags. JJ is just trying to get invited to the BBQ by hating on the older generation of players.

Bob Cousy is a Hall of Famer that never shot 40% from the field a single season in his career. That entire era was trash. And just like his career, he missed again.

That's a great idea. I like where you're going with this. There needs to be a place where past players can be immortalized in some sort of room with some sort of likeness of them so future generations will know that these guys were great. They could also have a ceremony to commemorate this momentous occasion where these guys are voted into this sacred place. It could be called the basketball "Corridor Of Really Great Individuals" or CORGI for short. Before anyone can criticize a past player, they need to check if he's a CORGI member. I like this idea.
It's too bad that we don't already have anything that immortalizes past great players. Such a shame. :nonono:

Bunch of people that weren't around when Cousy played taking his side to be edgy and sound historical. JJ wouldn't make the nba back then? Foh

Yeah, and when it's created it should exclude the inclusion of what players did in college and in international competition.

Lol oh please. Former players trash today’s generation constantly. Heaven forbid someone from today’s game fires back.

Cousy was playing 18 holes of golf into his late 80s, until he had back surgery.

First take needs the ratings that's prolly why they have Redick saying crazy shyt since they let go off max and he was always straight forward with his responses and usually always right but talked too much but then again he had to being next to steven A.. if that's where he said what he said

More like JJ wouldn't exist back then, actually.

That's like dismissing a hypothetical scenario where Nas says he's better than Sugarhill Gang because ahhhh can't be, Sugarhill Gang paved the way for him.

ESPN excels at taking decent commentators and extracting **** commentary from them. I still like Redick's podcast.

His podcast is still great. He sold his soul to the devil though by joining ESPN. I lost a ton of respect for him
