The Blazers got swept in the 2019 WCF by the Warriors but plenty of people are still raving about Dame waving goodbye to Westbrook in the first round. Why would Luka need to reach the final for this to age well? The Mavs losing to the Warriors doesn't change they beat a heavily favored Suns team. The Suns being happy they lost in the second round instead of the WCF is also such a loser mentality imo. I swear these kind of people would rather miss the play-offs than lose in the finals or conference finals.

You should be looking for a 2-way player/plus defender if you are playing fantasy matchmaker with Luka, somebody that can help cover for his defensive issues. Pairing him with another poor defender es no bueno.

Maybe but that still limits the conversation to flopping which still has nothing to do with who wins the series, who is the better player, etc. Most players flop and I wouldnt disagree that Luka does it a lot. The outcome of the series doesn't change that about him or anyone else.

I would get it if Booker was out there guaranteeing a series win and talking about how he's better than Luka and stuff like that. But the constant citing of the 'Luka Special' comment to say why he'll 'never live down the loss' just doesnt match up. Maybe he wont live down the loss but it'd be because of his sad performances in games 6/7, not because he said Luka flops.
