I don't understand how so many of the teams with high "GM Confidence" are also "Treadmill" or "Waning."

Agreed, great series!

100%, didn't say a lot in these but they had some of the best content.

Yep, I was thinking along the lines of "maintaining" for next year.

Perfect. I assumed people voting for the Warriors as treadmill meant that, tough to rise more after a chip but also hard to be a treadmill team

Do you have a lot of confidence in the 76ers moving forward?

GM's are there to do what the owners want and under those constrains do the best job. Most teams have zero real intent to win a title.

I somehow wish that some league executives honestly ask themselves are we ok being a threadmill team or missing the playoffs for years. There are a lot of teams without a direction. There can only be one team that wins every year but a team like the kings to go 16 years without the playoffs just tells us that they all need to go. From the owner to the basketball scout.

Looking back at this season - I'm not sure many had a Golden State vs Boston NBA Finals. I think that goes to show that when your close (top-3 level team in your conference) you go for it. Sure, it might have taken a Khris Middleton injury for Boston to get past Milwaukee - but injuries are part of the game. You need to be in position to capitalize if an opportunity presents itself.

My other conclusion from reading these threads is that you can never have enough big 3 and D wings. I think almost every team could use more depth at that position.

Isn’t RealGm the home of the non-casual fan?
Realgm and the media pundits leaned towards Celtics beating Warriors but the bettors/ betting lines correctly picked the Warriors ove the Celtics.
At the beginning of the playoffs I placed my main to win the championship bet on the Warriors with smaller bets on the Grizzlies and Celtics. I might be overconfident in myself next year because of how right I got this year.

The main thing for me is I felt strongly that the Warriors could beat the Suns. I also felt strongly the the Nets had not gelled as a team and therefore were being overrated out of respect for KD.
