I don’t mix them up, but I certainly think about Tayshaun everytime Taurean is mentioned.

Before the all star break, I was pretty damn sure we would release him, didnt seem to fit and was getting DNP-CD at times. But after it he was really coming to his own and shooting decently, looking like his old self he did in Atlanta. So I'm glad we kept him this summer. Especially since he is the rare much needed level headed veteran leader in the team. Bev is more the crazy spirit animal to pump them up, while Prince guides them with his stoic professionalism.

Thats a quality thats needed in a team that are all 25 and younger basically (Greg Monroe is also rare older guy, but he was late signing and deep deep bench guy, so doubt his presence mattered).

I think he's been a good soldier for having his role reduced and this is a great contract for Minnesota. I bet Prince could have gotten the full MLE on the open market.

Really? By how much? 1 mil? There was a zero percent chance he was getting less than 6.

Prince plays in a small market so he doesn't get the quite the accolades that players in larger cities do.....but he is quietly becoming one of the more effective role players in the Association.

He defends at a high level, has a high basketball IQ and has improved his outside shot. If Taurean Prince can become a more consistent outside shooter then the sky is the limit for him.

He missed the play-in game because of a knee injury. And was on the injury report listed as questionable throughout the 1st round.

I remembered him missing the play-in with that knee, but then I personally gave him a clean bill of health for the playoffs!

My selective memory for player injuries getting exposed here by Abe.

Excited he's back. At worst (when healthy) he's a cheap 2-way wing that unlocks a lot of lineup flexibility. He's had many stretches in his career when he looks like more than that, so here's hoping he has some good luck and has a career season with the Wolves.
