In a lot of these cases it is the player saying no. They're the ones rolling the dice against the advice of their advisors.

Phoenix Suns? Dallas Mavericks if they can't get Mike Conley or Kyrie Irving? The Heat would also be interest in getting a solid backup point guard like Dennis.

Oh he did. The Milwaukee’s Best. We were out drinking with him one night in Milwaukee (he hung out at the bar there like every night) and when I got home I looked up what had happened to him. It was not good I think he might shored his boat and the repossessed it. He also got arrested by the coast guard for choking a woman. Ughhhh. He was indeed bankrupt.

Mavs make a lot of sense with the German ties in Kleber and Dirk plus of course he's the kind of player they would need.
Lakers also make sense even if they end up with Kyrie and LBJ cause they're injured a lot, therefore, the Lakers would still need additional playmaking.
