He probably had that reaction because he believes Nash is not telling him to do these things. You can't jump on a young guy for having an emotional reaction, that is what young guys do.

But with that being said rolling of the eyes is usually accompanied with contempt/lack of respect. And that behavior, for a young player, is usually learned from the veterans. It's like having an older brother that curses at his parents and gets away with it. So the younger brother does it too, why not!
You want it to be one way....but it's the other way.

I never liked this kid or his attitude. He's a high usage, inefficient chucker who plays no defense. He's an undersized 2. Clearly he has little respect for his coach which he undoubtedly got from Kyrie. They should trade him for whatever they can get. He's a cancer.

classic realgm. This statement then people actually upvoting. Too funny. Nash led the league in assists FIVE times lmao. He's one of the better passers in history. He never averaged even 14 FGA a game. And if he shot so much (he didn't) it was earned since he was a 43% 3 pt shooter. Seriously. I cannot even fathom somebody having this opinion. :noway:

To be fair it is an absurd statement to both look for your shot and for other team mates.

Can't shoot and pass at the same time.

I think he was probably saying to look for his shot AND to not forget to look for his teammates, also.

So basically, be a scorer but don't forget to involve teammates as well. It's important for guys who only want to score to not simply catch the ball and then go iso.

The fact that he's rolling his eyes and saying "it is what it is" makes me think he has no respect for his coach saying that publicly. That's a massive red flag. And I have no doubt that the culture created by Brooklyn's stars did nothing to help Nash out.

Nash needs to get the heck out of that situation. KD, Kyrie, Ben Simmons, this kid, and what could be more players having such a rotten attitude is going to hurt his career.

No joke, yesterday there was a thread claiming Nash is among the very biggest ballhogs of all time based on nothing other than the percentage of his own made FGs that were assisted:

To look for your shot is the exact opposite of looking for your teammates. What else would he do? Those are the only two possibilities. It's a meaningless piece of advice from Nash.

steve nash isn't a real coach, this is known

he'd be a nice player development guy, but to be a head coach, steve nash learned from mike d'antoni's brilliance, he was a follower not a leader for the suns.

He is scoring efficiently leading his SL team to victories. Should he change his game?

Not sure I'm following the logic you've got here. Is Thomas having an 'emotional reaction,' or is Nash 'not telling him to pass,' or did he just learn to be a selfish and disrespectful from Kyrie et al? The three aren't incompatible but it seems like you're just throwing up random guesses about what he's doing here.

It's also extremely unlikely that Nash and the coaching staff hasn't been telling him to move the ball, since every coach ever repeats that endlessly. Seems like all we can tell from the clip is that he's been through this conversation before and he didn't like how it went. Maybe he thinks Nash and staff should just let him play his game, maybe he's salty about not getting enough PT last year, maybe he's trying but feeling frustrated and Nash and co have been hard asses, etc.

This isn't about Nash. This is him being annoyed that his passing ability is being questioned (which of course is not something he should be annoyed about, since it kinda sucks, but it's not about Nash).

Think some that are getting confused by the "look for your shot, look for teammates" comment are interpreting it the wrong way. If it was worded that way, he probably means to look for your spots more-so than shots. He's basically saying to play within the offense, remember you have teammates and not play selfishly/stupid and force shots that aren't there or ones that are normally outside his ability to make consistently.

Honestly, I didn't see much from Cam. If that's a problem, then most people have not raised children. That's fairly a common reaction to a question they find irritating. This is nothing.....
I'm so tired of the typical......
