I dont think they have gotten worsen but Denver and Clippers are supposed to improve If they stay healthy, Pelicans with Zion back, kings and Portland got better at least on paper. So we will see.

Luka another year older, full season of Dinwiddie hopefully healthy, and a Wood addition. I'm going to say they will be just as good if not better then last season. The rest of the West will be better though so maybe they fall in the standings.

If Luka starts the season in shape and had a healthier years Mavs can be in the 3-5 range. Losing Brunson isn’t a big issue during the season. They may miss him in the playoffs if they stand Pat with the roster.

Mavs will be better. They filled holes and got rid of dead weight. So next year is probably 54 wins. Its not really up to them where that leaves them in the stanfings, I would guess 4th

I think they're still top 5. Brunson was a loss but he's replaceable imo his production is getting way overblown I think. I think Christian Wood is a better player especially for the Mavs who has a bunch of average bigs. Luka is about to get him paid lol

Lol, some of you acting like Brunson was 25-5-5 player. Mavs will be better this season with more complete team than last year. I’m sure Luka will be in better shape. On the other side, west got stronger.
My prediction? Mavs will be 3rd in RS and reach conf. finals again. At least.

It's going to be really tough for DAL to finish much higher than 6 and there's a chance they either don't make it or finish 7th or 8th if a couple teams that made good moves gel.

Picking up Wood and getting Hardaway back will help offset the loss of Brunson, but the roster is still lacking oomph and is a step behind the conference favorites.

Find a top notch #2 to pair with Luka and the Mavs have a much better shot at a chip.

They’ll finish anywhere from 3 to 6. It’s rare that the top teams stay at the top of the conference for multiple years. Just look at the Jazz who had the #1 seed in 2021 and slipped to 5 this year while only losing Joe Ingles. Some teams just don’t care about the regular season. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Golden State and Clippers will prioritize health over seeding. I think Phoenix might too and focus on keeping Chris Paul fresh for the playoffs.

I think the Kidd impact on the defense will start to drop off. But the offense likely improves a little.

Doncic is that good that we will still be a threat in any playoff series.
