Is..is this a summoning of sorts?

Spoiler:
Team2: Jokic/Giannis/Stojakovic/Bojan Bogdanovic/Spanoulis

Divac/Kirilenko/Kukoc/Marciulionis/Dragic could compete with these teams too.

With FIBA rules, it's gotta be team 3. You have 2 FIBA monsters in Pau and Galis, plus Doncic, Sabas and Bodiroga. Unreal firepower.

If this is FIBA rules, team 2 is definitely the worst. In the NBA could be a different story.

The fit between Sabonis and Pau being the question mark, but I think this thread vastly underrates Petrovic.

Team 1 has 4 NBA champions which makes me believe a series would be closer than we think between Team 1 and team 3

They have the most talent (they are the only team with with 2 MVP-level players on it), and their players fit together like a glove.

- Giannis is one of the most physically dominant bigmen of all time, and an all-time great defender.
- Jokic is the best passing big of all time and one of the most dynamic scoring bigs of all time.
- Peja is one of the best shooters of all time.
- Bojan is another elite shooter.

That would be a historically good team, not just among Euros, but among all basketball teams.

So which one of the Doncic - Sabonis (I assume in prime) is not an MVP candidate in your opinion?

Giannis and Jokic have 4 MVP awards between them. Luka and Sabonis have 0.

Luka will probably win one or two at some point, but even then, Sabonis was nowhere near as talented as Giannis or Jokic.

T. Pain
Petrovic
Tony
Dirk
Mark

No way this team losses to anyone. Worst player will be Mark who's a DPOY and complete package on offense.

I see, so you're a troll. I'm not talking about 35 year old, no legs shell of his former self that was still pretty good. I'm talking prime - that guy would have been MVP candidate for sure. Doncic - he was MVP candidate this year. They are/were both clearly MVP level players. You can\t hold it against Sabas that he wasn't in NBA in his prime. Hell - some of those guys didn't play in NBA at all. Guess they're ****!

Sabonis was incredibly talented. I would say even better than Jokic.

Team 1. Better defense and versatility.
Team 3 is supertalented but Doncic and Bodiroga overlap and Galis cant guard nobody, and is only valuable as a volume scorer.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

I voted team 3, crazy level of talent.

However I was thinking that if Yugoslavia still existed, it would have an insane all-time team: Doncic, Petrovic, Stojakovic, Kukoc, Jokic.

Yougoslavia would have been a contender vs the US in the last 20 years.

These countries have incredible talent in team sports for how small in size they are (Croatia World Cup final in soccer as another example)

I gotta assume we are talking prime for every player.

Than Sabonis is the best player overall and Team 3 easily sweps everyone else

I hate Doncic shot selection sometimes, but I think he is best guy there. People saying Doncic is 4th 5th best guy from that list are just being cute.

I feel like Team 1 has the best scoring potential and Team 3 has the best play-making potential... but Team 2 has the best balance of offense vs defense, so they win. Teams 1 and 3 don't seem to have enough perimeter defense.

And team 2 has? Spanoulis and Bojan aren't stopping anyone. That team has Gianni's and that's great, but look at the rest.
