Uh Sabonis is better and may always be better, and definitely fits with Fox more (Fox looked like an all star post trade). That chapter isnt written
Eh, that's still to be determined. Sabonis is good, no doubt. Is he better than Haliburton, or did he just have more opportunity? When Haliburton was the lead guard for the Pacers (no Brogdon) he was at 19/10/4 with 2 steals on 51/46/89 shooting splits in roughly 20 games. He also said it's the first time in his life that when he shot bad, he was told to keep shooting. It's going to have some learning curve, obviously. This will be his first opportunity at a role equivalent to what Sabonis and Fox have had. He thinks he will be 20-10 this year, and I don't see why not.
Given Sabonis is a strong bodied big with limited range it would make him a fit in the 90's, but today I think most teams would lean towards Haliburton archetype. So if he does reach 20-10, or even 20-9, which I think are realistic as he clearly has been given the keys ..... I think it becomes a pretty big toss up on which is better, honestly. With the tie breaker for most people going to the guy with the archetype of Haliburton.
