I'd have Shawn Kemp at PF, move Melo to SF and Pippen to SG

Another big is Sheed. Jermaine O'Neal was there too, actually, as much as I'd like to forget.
Bob McAdoo doesn't count by thread rules; he was past his peak but still a lead scorer.

Nique clearly fits.

Guards who come to mind tended, even if past their prime, to still be all-stars -- Tiny Archibald, Dennis Johnson, Ray Allen ... Kenny Anderson doesn't count either by thread rules.

[By the way -- Wizards Michael Jordan shouldn't count either.]

We do have Michael Finley.

Scott Wedman never hit 18 MPG for the Cs.

Walton aside, I haven't thought of any ball distributors yet.

Gary Payton
We won it for Al!!!

I'd forgotten about Kemp's time in Portland. Ironic, since he was here that same time as 35-year old Pippen, 36-year old Sabonis and 38-year old Detlef Schrempf. Now, thanks to you, the nightmares shall resume.

Orlando Magic:

PG: Rod Strickland
SG: Vince Carter
SF: Dominique Wilkins
PF: Shawn Kemp
Cc: Patrick Ewing

Great adult rec League team.

Fun fact: I was going to include Jason Richardson and then realized he never made an All Star Team... Wow.

Wolves

Terry Porter
Derrick Rose
Tayshaun Prince
Andrei Kirilenko
Kevin Garnett

Lacks elite spacing but has tremendous defensive length and versatility.

Stephon Marbury and Gary Payton if he counts could shore up the guard depth or start.

Of course. Thank you. I feel like an idiot right now.

Payton definitely starts. Who else starts from among Marbury/Cassell/Finley?

I'd start Finley for fit and defensive purpose even though he didn't peak as high as Marbury or Cassell. If we need another small forward for reserves Xavier McDaniel qualifies.

I knew I was forgetting a guard who was washed on Boston. Pistol Pete!

Shaq/Walton/Artis Gilmore
Sheed/Jermaine O'Neal
Nique/ Xavier McDaniel
Michael Finley/ Pete Maravich
Gary Payton/Stephon Marbury/Sam Cassell

I'd put my Celtics lineup against that any day! Dwight would be in shambles going up against Shaq/Walton/Gilmore/Sheed/Jermaine, and Melo isn't sucker punching Xavier McDaniel

The premise of the thread is prime versions of these washed old players. Young Gilmore alone would body Dwight.
