He's 36, he's a little old for that.

It kind of loses its luster after awhile once the hormones shut up around 30.

Taiwan is going to have an excellent national team in about 20 years...

Are you talking about basketball only?

Heck, Taiwan will be the #1 nation in Olympic gold medals in 20 years!

I was thinking along the same line and don't see how any human being could beat Wilt's record of 20K in a couple years

It starts with the D

That's gross. She figured it out and probably felt violated on some level.

I mean, I'll laugh at stuff like that as much as anyone, but after the initial joke, when he doubled down ("it starts with the D"), that was unprofessional and toeing the line towards harrassment.

Just the wrong place and time, you know? Ok, I'm off my high horse...

I can't believe Dwight's only 36, thought he was much older. He can still contribute at the NBA level, looks to be in great shape.

Did he just get hot/lucky or is he always going to shoot well in Taiwan?

And as they so often are when they do it, you're wrong this time.

He's an NBA player. I'm not shocked at all. This type of game obviously wouldn't work in the NBA, but it's fun to see he's having fun late in his basketball career. People who think centers can't shoot don't know basketball. Imagine practicing nearly every day of your life for all those years. I don't care how tall or clumsy a center is, they probably can dribble, probably can shoot. Nobody should be shocked.

Of course he can. He'd be a better fit on the Warriors, more conducive to winning, than James Wiseman.

The league is political. Sometimes the you get a "rep". Sometimes teams prioritize youngsters over guys that can actually help you win ballgames, and sometimes teams just don't like you.

Good for Dwight.

He gets to dominate and feel like a superstar again in his twilight years, the fans over there seem to love him.

That said if the NBA comes calling, can he get out of his Taiwan contract?

I hope not, I doubt he'll enjoy being a bench-warmer in the NBA.

No one underestimates his talent. Just no one expected it from him and there are enough reasons for that.

It's neither my friend, it's simply the huge skill gap between Dwight and the other players.

Even in his twilight years, he's just so much better than them... it's not even funny.

Let me tell you a story: in the 90s, there was an awesome player back here, in the Brazilian league, called Askia Jones.

Have you ever heard of him? Probably not, right?

He was amazing, dropping 30/10/10 games every week. Far and away the best player of that league, in that time.

Now check out his BBallRef page and see his awesome stats when he played in the NBA.

You have to understand there's a sense of proportion in the sport, relative to skill.

Cheers.

Beat me to it. Saw this on YouTube.

We literally just witnessed what it was like for Wilt Chamberlain towering and dominating over his shorter less talented comp. Great game Dwight! Hope he returns to the NBA will watch him in this League until then!

I always loved watching him dunk!

Dario Saric at junior level was basically mix of Magic and Sabonis, and he's just a spot up shooter in the NBA. Anyone who is in the NBA, is actually crazy good at basketball, I know shocking. Remember Jason Collins and Jarred Collins, certified Dwight stoppers who were seriously two of the least skilled NBA players ever? Even them were running point in school.... Fans, especially Americans, I feel have no clue how good NBA really is, and how many levels there is to it. We just see Zions and Scoot Henderson's just appear and make NBA just like that, and we took it for granted. These prospects are beyond phenoms, and all these regular Joe's who believed they could beat Scalabrine were delusional beyond belief or just trolling.

Welp we'll know in about 5-8yrs from now if we see any taller than usual half African American half Taiwanese kids running around with dreads and a basketball if Dwight truly left his imprint in Taiwan
