This one is on the schedule makers. Denver vs Milwaukee should be a marquee matchup, and yet the road team is on the second night of a back-to-back in both of their meetings this season. Denver doesn’t play the load management card very often, but punting tonight is a no brainer after playing in New Orleans last night. Just dumb scheduling.

The Nuggets' starting lineup will likely be:

Bones
Bruce Brown
AG
Vlatko
DJ

This could get ugly...

Sick of this load management bull.

It’s just pathetic. The NBA should go to 72 games and remove the back to backs and whatever, but I also hold the players/teams responsible for not just playing in the **** games. I don’t care if your data says the injury risk playing in a back-to-back increases by like .3%.

The “all that matters is getting to the postseason healthy, seeding isn’t important” stuff is nonsense too. There have been 76 NBA champions, 65 of them have been Top 2 seeds. If you’re not a Top 2 seed, you’re usually ****. Of the 11 lower seeds, 9 were the 3 seed. If you’re not a Top 3 seed, you’re almost definitely ****. We accept the premise that a handful of regular season games don’t matter compared to the greater goal of a championship, but they absolutely do. Teams just know they can get away with it because everyone else is going to do it.

Well said. It is so funny clippers think they can get the chip when they make the playoffs as the 8th seed, as if winning the chip as the 8th is something common.

Neither of the matchups are on national TV either lol.

I don’t usually push the “NBA doesn’t give a **** about promoting stars in smaller markets” stuff but it’s pretty evident in this instance. The fact that you have two future top 15-20 all time guys in their prime and NEITHER of their matchups are on national TV and both are on the 2nd nights of a B2B is indefensible scheduling.

That said, very likely the Bucks come out completely unserious and lose to the Nuggets bench lol.

Magic are healthy and have a bounce in their step. The potential of this team is huge. I am so excited for the future, man...

giving players rest when seeding isn't all that important anyway (not as much as having key players healthy and well-rested come playoff time) and if ur gonna sit out the entire squad, might as well do it on games like this game @ Bucks where the team was likely to lose even at full strength. so it makes perfect sense and is the "correct" move..until the league steps in and punishes the team for doing it. the cost of that should be high enough to make this move "incorrect"

shameful stuff that's been going on (more and more) for a few seasons now

There is no way for the league to regulate this. Popovich found a loop hole and exploited it with the Spurs. Everyone followed.

The only solution to this is through contracts. Teams will have to structure contracts so that if a player misses a certain amount of games (let's say 10 games in a season), they'll lose 10% of their salary or more. Something along those lines.

Embiid getting superstar call. No chance he was in the middle of a shot there.
