No, SGA really hasn't lol. You can make his case, but to say "thoroughly" is a joke of a statement. Steph is averaging 29/6/6 on 49/42/92 (66% TS) and has the better EPM/BPM/TS. Plus, the AS game is for the fans, who voted him first among guards. The players and media also disagreed with your take. Next up would have been Ja over SGA, for what it's worth.

No surprises on the ballot as a whole. KD will be replaced by Embiid as a starter, and Zion by AD if he plays. The only poor choice on the starters list is Kyrie, but it's not surprising as his popularity is still huge.

Don't know about they all deserving to be there, but west starters have a case for most entertaining starting five ever. Love that lineup.

East front court is interesting.

the media had Tatum as the #1 front court starter but players had him on the outside at #4. Players love Durant more at #2 while the media, inexplicably imo, had Durant at #4.

Kind of wish players had more weight than the media.

Embiid probably deserves to be the starting Center over Giannis. His stats are better than Giannis across the board. Giannis only tops him in rebounds.

Funny that fans had Lebron at #1 and both players and media had him at #2, but if you only read realgm you’d think he didn’t deserve to even be top 3.

How many other times has a player from the team with the 24-25th worst record in the league been chosen to start an All-Star game? Asking cause I do not know how to look that up.

I really enjoy seeing the player scores. Some takeaways:
- No love lost; they all love Kyrie
- Jokic isn't all a media driven vorp love fest; the players think he's amazing as well
- Luka is very popular among the players - what does that say for the "no one will want to play with him" crowd?
- On the flipside, seems players not liking Trae Young is real; 12th among east guards according to the players (ouch)
- Fans might not recognize Bam, but the players and the media do

Why? Its a popularity contest with the players also. The media seems like the only ones who arent mostly biased.

This, it's the best part of Embiid. He does need to figure out how to channel that better with his play. But he absolutely wears his heart on his sleeve, and is everything I want in a player. People can complain about the flopping, but Joel is the most human star we have in the NBA. He most definitely cares about winning, and being recognized as one of the games best players. After all he has been through to start his career with the missed time and his kid brother's passing, to considering not playing anymore after that happened, it really speaks to his resiliency. Don't even get me started with Colangelo and Ben, with the Sixers failing him for a long time.

I get why fans of other teams don't like him, but you can not question his heart.

Yeah this might happen, although I read that KD is tryin to come back soon, and mentioned he'd wanna play in the game. Would be nice to have KD playing to be honest seeing that he missed the last 2 seasons all star game.
