I never understood the outrage with "no homo", its not anti-gay.

Its basically just hetero males getting it straight that they don't play for the other team after making a remark that could give gay men the wrong message. We don't want them getting the wrong message. Its just proper communication. Keep doing you, Mr Cam Thomas. The NBA should know better. But of course not.

you have to understand it's not about "protecting" gay people. corporations don't care about anyone including gay people. but gay people can be used to shield a corporation from criticism.

the same way Apple will show you a lot of rainbow flags but there are suicide nets on the factories where the chinese slaves make the computers. if the corporation talks about how they love gay people you aren't allowed to criticize them or you can be slandered with homophobe/racist/etc.

it's similar to why there are now women commentators on all sports even though obviously there shouldn't be. it's just another thing meant to disrespect you and demoralize you so you don't believe men can ever stand up for themselves, so you aren't motivated to fight back, and ultimately it's part of a strategy to deprive you of you rights and turn you into an amazon slave.

I know gay people who use it just to indicate that they're not implying anything sexual. You don't even have to be hetero to use it in that context. Calling that an anti gay remark is a stretch

Right. In a vacuum a reasonable person can see that’s it’s not a horrific anti-gay comment, but the woke-patrol eats it up. That said just not a wise thing to say. It’d be funnier if he said “we have good looking dudes already and I mean that as a strictly objective heterosexual observer”.

That's kind of the problem though. If you don't want to make a fake apology for something you didn't intend as personally disrespectful you get canceled. Now guys have to make a public apology for everything that might offend somebody somewhere to keep their job.

It's a small fine and I see why the nets would do that. I wouldn't make a deal out of it, just a small mistake, but there's no need to get offended bc they fined him for it.
It's clearly wrong to say on TV "no-homo". It adds to being wrong you would never hear a gay person say "no-hetero" or a woman say "no-homo" for that matter when complimenting the gender(s) they're not attracted to.

Not a fan of the guy anyway. Seems to foul hunt and is always throwing up his hands like he deserves the superstar call. Anyone want to bet that he doesn't see another 40 point game this season? In a few weeks we will forget his name while he is buried on the bench.
