Imagine Rj and Garland end up being the best from that class because Zion ends up missing 75 games a season and Ja serving 75 to life

True but this is basically common sense. What are they going to do, bring him back with 5 games left in the season?

They are in the mix for PO and with him they looked like one of the best teams in the league, so yeah, they'll bring him, it's hamstring strain, it takes time to heal, especially on heavy guys, and WCS he re-strains it, he sits for the offseason and it'll heal.

They're not going to bring him back for a handful of games after being out 3 months. He's not playing again this season.

This is the second time he's been hurt and had a setback from an injury (minimum). Is he havig a difficult time understanding what he's not supposed to do?

Not sure why they haven't traded him yet.

It takes two to tango...who's going to want him at this point?

Pick swap with the Lakers was looking absolutely disastrous at the beginning of the season. Not anymore.

I think it's also more of a Pelican "business decision".

They have swap rights with the Lakers and with LA making a surge it behooves NO to fall back behind LA so the pick can become a higher draft pick.

Prior to the Lakers trade it made sense to bring him back so NO could compete and get a likely great pick, now it doesn't seem to urgent to bring him back, fight for PO seeding or spot, and not benefit from getting the LA pick to probably fall where they would've liked.

This is very concerning. It shouldn't take this long to recover from a Hamstring injury. Perhaps the Pelicans are being extremely cautious with him since they know that they're not going more than 1st or 2nd exit this year?

forget slimming down to 265, he should be slimming down to 245 even if it means sacrificing his "gift" and being a more modestly talented player. he should have a long conversation with Shaun Livingston - not just about basketball, but about life in general. I imagine Shaun had a really great time in the last 5+ years of his career just being out there, playing, with his teammates. Doesn't Zion want that? I'd rather be a modestly-successful "starter quality" PF averaging 16 and 8 and playing until I'm 34 then be a superstar who only plays 35 games a year until I'm 26 then can't even find a team to take me because i can't pass a physical.
To be fair, Brandon Roy was signed by the Wolves at 28.

The funny thing is - I think he should be thinking 225 - it’s not like he is going to lose muscle as he shrinks like a power lifter would. The goal of his muscle to propel him into the air, run and shift…. The more weight he loses the better off he will be in the long run. The muscle he built over the years that makes him so amazing won’t leave him if he does this right

Exactly- no way dropping 300 pounds on your lower body from as high as he jump’s sustainable - people gorget that shaq could dunk and not get nearly as high off the floor as Zion…

Did someone mess up? He was born in 1978, must be a generational talent start nba at age of 9. he and Jokic may have similar look at middle school age

Not sure, but everyone that loves tanking and the mystery box, will be enamored with what he could possibly be.

So it's okay for Zion to sit because they are not championship contenders?

I would sell high on him and rebuild
