I'd say two of those were very soft fouls that non Superstar players never get, and one of those fouls was a clear offensive foul on Giannis. But outside of those three, every other foul seemed correct. I'd say he should've finished with 18 free throws which would've still been more than the Suns got as a team.

Its hilarious that someone would post number of drives and think the Suns guards are as difficult to contain in the paint as freighttraining Giannis.

He gets fouled a lot because he's a dominant force that teams don't have answers for. Suns have some great players obviously. Booker and KD are elite offensive players, but they don't put the same types of pressure on a defense as Giannis.

This is a non-story and while I get why Monty and Booker want to plant seeds with refs, that isn't actually a thing that works outside of a specific game and it just sets a loser and victim mentality within your team. I'd never engage in that as a coach or supposed leader.

I don’t like the whining from Monty, but he does have a point. Probably still upset from the Luka appreciation party the refs pulled he other night. Stars have never got more calls than the last few years. Certain players expect a call on every play, and that is just not realistic in a neutrally officiated game.

What are you basing this on? Star players shoot less free throws today on average than they did in the past. League FTA per game as a whole has declined a lot in the 3 point shooting era.

Pre game show of the Suns: Giannis had 46 points against the Kings. He is unguardable. We have to make him feel it when he drives in the paint. Show him bodies and if he beat us, make him pay at least and send him to the FT line.

Suns are 100% right. The leeway Giannis gets from the referees has gotten to historically bad levels.

From the traveling to the fend offs to the hacking on defense and to the cheap shots on opponents, dude is governed by his own golden boy rule book that makes any unbiased fan sick.

Dude's good, there shouldn't be any need to bend the rules this badly to make him better.

Half of these are intentional fouls… like yanking his arm as he’s going up. Yes, it’s annoying to play against him sometimes because of the whistle, but he only does one thing offensively normally. That’s face up and just drive at you full speed. You’d think teams know this and would game plan for it?

Didn't watch the game, and not taking one side or the other, but it sounds like there's a lot of, "Watch the game, Giannis got legitimately fouled" responses. Perhaps what the Suns are trying to say is that they should have gotten a lot more calls that the refs didn't give them but gave to Giannis?

Just cause someone complains about officiating doesn’t mean they think there’s a league wide conspiracy. Sometimes they think some refs are just bad at their job.

Booker said that "at least a couple of those can be called offensive fouls." I agree. There were probably three from that bunch that could have been no-calls or offensive fouls.

Giannis often gets calls in his favor on plays where he barges into defenders who are in position. It's been that way for years, and pretty much everyone acknowledges it except for some Bucks fans. It's not unique to him, of course, but he benefits.
