Came here to say Patty Mills in his early Spurs days but others beat me to it! Used to have signature towel waving moves and everything!

Here's a story about him announcing his retirement from the NBA and the lead is, "A tearful M.L. Carr, the Boston Celtics' towel-waving cheerleader, Monday announced his retirement after nine years in the NBA." A nine-year NBA career, 678 games and 16,390 minutes in the regular season, plus 67 games and 1,005 minutes in the playoffs, summed up as "towel-waving cheerleader."

M.L. is still alive, but I bet I know what it's going to say on his tombstone.

This is the correct answer.
