Why didn't Donovan Mitchell work the back channels and let Danny Ainge know that if he got traded that he only wanted to play for the New York Knicks?

He really dropped the ball here. He played Mr. Nice guy and let Trader Danny know it didn't matter where he got traded. His Agent and Advisors really selfishly hurt his Career!

And Think about all the Extra Money Donovan would have made in Endorsements because he's in the World's Biggest Market

Imagine a Jalen "Damn" Son & Donovan Mitchell backcourt?!?!

Only an idiot of the highest order would trade for RJ Barrett instead of Lauri. Ainge isn't that.

RJ had more value than Lauri at the time of the trade. There isn't much debating that.

I have a hard believing that any competent GM placed much value on RJ. He's so obviously a terrible player to even the most casual fans' eyes. Ainge has proven enough times that he knows what he's doing, and I have no doubt that any alleged interest in the Knicks trade package was being used as leverage against other teams.

Psh, He made the right choice and chose an actual all-star back court team mate

I'm glad we didn't trade for Mitchell, it would have cost us IQ or Grimes as well as RJ and a gang of picks. I'm good.

How do you know it's his choice to go to Cleveland? He got traded, he's not a free-agent who sign with Cavaliers.

There is definitely debating that because Barrett sucks and be sucked a year ago too. Lauri was at least intriguing.

Welp, the knicks gave him like 30 a year. I think ainge was interested, why were all the rumours about RJ, then when they pulled RJ and resigned him, did the talks seemingly stall?

Kyrie chose Brooklyn over the Knicks, so I guess he didn't want the Knicks either. Or the Cavs, or the Celtics... huh. Maybe Kyrie not wanting a team isn't that rare?

Are you trying to use Kyrie as an example of a wise man?

That’s true but you would have received Donovan Mitchell who is better than all of them.

This was a good one, well done.

Here's some internet points to alleviate the pain of being a fan of of one of only two NBA 'chises to win fewer than 10 playoff games over the last 20 years...

DMitch spends all summer at NYC events showing how he wants to be in NY if traded

Yet, Utah trades him to Cleveland despite his desires because it's in their best interest to do so

Some fans: hE mAdE ThE rIgHt ChOicE
If you'd rather see your team fail so you can be right
...you are a fan of your opinion not the team.
