Curious you don’t have Rob Williams on your list? Defensively he makes a huge difference for the Celtics.

Re: Re drafting the 2018 draft.
JJJ leads to the most winning. His offense is finally coming around as well. On a streak of 35 games with 3 3s and 3 blocks. He’s the best defender in the league and still getting better on both ends.
That being said, Luka still goes 1 even tho he’s at his ceiling. SGA 3 then Bridges 4 probably.

Robert williams is too high considering his injury issues imo.
I would likely have Trae #3, he's just too good offensively.

Wouldn’t that be also true of JJJ then?
I find ranking this draft fascinating in terms of having a criteria and consistently applying it.
Much of what you can say about Luka you can say about Trae. Much of what applies to JJJ applies to RW3.
If defense wins Championships, as everyone tells Kings fans, how high to you rank two players that are high on offense and low on defense versus two players almost the straight inverse.
I think maybe more than any draft I can remember this draft has amazing contrasts.
Sadly for the Kings none of these apply to Bagley
. But I find this draft fascinating regardless.

There is a bounty on Mavs right now. People coming from all corners to **** on them. Problem is, this might be the last chance they'll have for a long time. So i guess let them have their fun while they still can.
Why do you think that?

I was hoping and expecting this to be one of the first replies. You did not disappoint. Jroy have it all.

No it’s not.
I expressed my reason in another post. I don’t love Luka’s style of play as I don’t think it helps you win long term. My draft order is based on that belief. But it’s not like Luka is the only high offense/ low defense player in this draft. Their are also some high defense / low offense type of players.

For me I would draft as follows (for me being a 2 way player matters, helping your team win matters as does availability.
1) SGA
2) Mikhal Bridges
3) Luka Doncic’s
4) Jalen Brunson
5) Jaren Jackson Jr
5B) Ayton.
6) Trae Young
7) Robert Williams III
8) Collin Sexton
9) Michael Porter
10) Kevin Huerter
11) Wendall Carter Jr
12) Anfernee Simons
13) Donte DiVen
14) Gary Trent.
Lots to argue about here so curious others opinion.
Sounds like u are a kings scout. Bagley werent bad enough for your legacy?

Haha. No if I were a Kings scout we would have drafted JJJ. So what is your mock?

Re: Re drafting the 2018 draft.
Don't know why Knicks fans are so upset, there's still a good chance they get the pick. Funny how you ahve a mildly succesful season and forget that your real evenmy is Dolan, not the Mavs who helped you out of that kp contract (generously).

Re: Re drafting the 2018 draft.
Luka is still #1. By a wide margin. If you don't want to draft him, then you still take him and get the biggest haul ever to drop back to #2 and take either SGA or JJJ.

That’s fine. Post your mock. If you love Luka where do you put Trae?

Was JJJ the 3rd pick or the 4th pick that year??
Seems to be the only guy who got drafted were he was supposed to be drafted.

LOL that's a weird statement.
Anyway, I would go with this, particularly for each team.
1. Luka - Phoenix - Obvious
2. JJJ - Sacramento - Generational defensive talent that can hit from outside, and pairs well with Fox. Could easily swap with SGA.
3. SGA - Atlanta - In hindsight, great upgrade from Tre.
4. Mikal - Memphis - Versatile wing that is BPA.
5. Trae - Dallas - Mavs had the defense to cover somewhat for Trae. Potent outside shooting team too.
6. Brunson - Orlando - Needed a PG and in hindsight, would fit well with Vucevic/Gordon/Fournier. Wouldn't need to trade for Fultz.
7. Ayton - Chicago - Draft Ayton and you no longer trade for Vucevic. Lavine/Markannen/Ayton is a good young trio.
8. RW3 - Cleveland - While JJJ is a generational defensive talent, Williams is brilliant too.
9. Sexton - NY Knicks - Needed a scoring PG with Randle being the leading scorer and coming into his own. Takes pressure off RJ.
10. MPJ - Phoenix (Phi still makes trade) - Suns still had a decent squad and could wait out the Porter Jr injury for the 1st season and they just got the biggest prize of the draft too. Doncic/Booker/Cam Johnson/MPJ is a great young quartet.

LOL, SGA is not the best player of the bunch. He is a stat stuffer on a bad team. He is basically Kevin Love, or Ricky Davis. SGA is a quality #3 on a contender.

There are two options here:
1. You don’t actually watch basketball
2. You’re upset that the Hawks made more mistakes than just trading Luka in that draft.
