That's a good point. The shade being thrown at Lue and paranoid boomer, Lawrence Frank makes me think if its a Michael Winger power play to get rid of those dudes and maybe trade Kawhi to start fresh.

Yep definitely could be that. Coming straight after the season and so pointed. Makes me think this is a move to clean house.
Can definitely see Westbrook/PG13 and Nurse heading up Clips next season. Any decent GMs around?

As someone who's seen a lot of Knicksy-behavior, Clippers are Knicks'ing hard.

Kawhi leaving that game at half time with no explanation explains Lu’s angst in the post game presser. It’s about time someone called out kawhi.

Kawhi proved years ago he would never even give an inch of sacrifice for his teammates, even when he was on one of the best and most winningest franchises of all time.... the forefathers of load management and rest as well. When people were talking about him coming back early from his ACL tear, I couldn't help but laugh. KAwhi is never going to do or go the little extra for someone else.

Curious that there wasn't a single unkind or unflattering thing said about Paul George in all of that. Bit of a silver lining I guess.

If true, thats a mammoth amount of dysfunction within the org, doesnt help the team gave up almost a decades worth of assets for these results. Thats a tough spot to be.

Winger is the GM, so they either fire Frank and consolidate his power or bring someone else in, like Ryan West, Jerry's son used to be with the Lakers and I think works for the Pistons now.

Hoping all of these is true and that this is a credible "journalist"-- and hoping as well every dysfunctional team has one so we get these lovely postmortems! :D

All I'll say is that the dysfunction during the Tom Thibodeau and Jimmy Butler era was unbelievable, behind-the-scenes.

I appreciate Jimmy Butler as a basketball talent, but dear Lord those two made for a miserable environment, from what I've heard.

That aside, from a front office professionalism standpoint, Minnesota actually nearly as dysfunctional as they were back then. The team sucks for a myriad of reasons, but the work environment is supposedly pretty solid.

That's a pretty good insight into a crumbling situation.

Can't see how the Clippers can't clean house from here. Might be able to compete next year, but looks like a new coach and completely new rotation is in order.
Lue will pick up a job straight away, but for gods sake Ty, select a sane working environment for once.

Don't be surprised if the PG-13 sweepstakes begin. Quite frankly it's a miracle that he can still play considering the nasty injury he had in 2015(I can't even watch it. It was like watching Shaun Livingston get hurt). Injuries and mileage are taking a toll on his body and I respect that he's tried to come back and put his best foot forward but quite frankly the team lived and died with the health of George+Kawhi and the latter having a degenerative quad that bothers him really put a hard ceiling on this team(not winning a title in the 1st 2 years made it a lot harder).

Sadly for them, the Thunder own their picks in the following ways:

24+26: Pick goes to OKC
25: unprotected swap

Sam Presti is licking his chops right now. Hell they already got Tre Mann(via the MIA 21 pick)+Jalen Williams(solid guard out of Santa Clara taken 12th overall). SGA's a beast and they still have that+the Heat pick in 25(lotto pro. then unprotected in 26).

Damn it's gonna be a rough few years in Clipper land but Ballmer knew what he was signing up for.

I think this sentiment is lost when people were posting all these Jimmy threads yesterday. He turned two locker rooms into warzones yet because he's winning he's getting nothing but praise.

Miami accepting this locker room culture doesn't make him a better teammate in my opinion
