Ya Lillard isn’t clutch he’s just statistically lucky.

No he doesn’t get a pass. When was the last time curry got ANY blame? You and the entire media give curry a pass every single time they lose. It’s somehow never his fault. He’s the superstar. Somehow the “get all the praise when they win and get the blame when they lose” never applies to him when it comes to losing. He choked 2 shots. He didn’t call a timeout. He just threw the ball out of bounce. Multiple screw ups by the superstar of the team at the end of the game.

I'm a Laker fan and I'm happy, but the Warriors are a great, great team, with the best offensive player ever.

It was a fantastic game, with an surprise hero in Lonnie Walker, who had a better 4th quarter than many AT Greats.

Why we can't enjoy the games and the players without crapping too much every time on great players ?

Legendary is getting targeted in the fourth quarter for at least 20 of the 27 points, lol
Legendary is 30 shots for 31 points.

Wow, you all move goal posts more than teams that luck up and beat Bama...

NbaAllDay wrote:Ironically the belief that Curry is 'clutch' is what leads to teams loading up on him at the end of games more than others.

When in reality, he can struggle at times to create his own clean look inside the 3p line (height/size are an issue here) and his court vision is not on the same level of someone like Lebron.

This can often lead to him putting up a rushed 3, or not being involved in the play at all because his team has no clear "go to" outside of it.

This. If Curry is indeed the best scorer of all time like a LOT of people have been positing, then his shooting at the end of these tough games is the biggest statistical anomaly in the sport or something.

The idea that Curry gets more attention or more doubles/pressure at the end of games than all the other all time greats because he's better than them has always been silly. Curry gets trapped at halfcourt and pressed on off ball stuff more because he's less equipped to handle it as a ball handler being able break through those things, as a big target to just toss the ball to, and as a passer out of those situations that can really punish teams for early and lazy doubles/triples.

The same way you can't play Curry's shooting like you can play other guys, you can't double some guys like Jordan/LeBron etc in the same way you can double Curry, because they are better at breaking that defense.

Why can’t we stop Calling curry the best offensive player ever? Look at his last second Offensve iq and shotmaking/creation for others in the playoffs, then tell me with a straight face that he’s still the best offensive player ever.

Not just today, but his overall body of work in the playoffs. His inability to get to the ft line at will combined with some questionable decision making are the main contributing factors imo when it comes to his last second shot making ability in the playoffs.

This is all off eye test.

EDIT - not to mention the timeout blunder vs SAC. And todays non timeout with the ball. Not taking k love to the basket. Makes you think the nerves get to him when you look at these decisions combined with the numbers someone posted below 0-12.

They have four titles. So, who cares.

Curry was otherworldly tonight. Singlehandedly kept them on the game and almost got the win. It was one of the best performances Ive seen in playoffs.

Yes the warriors do. But this is a curry thread who by the way just had one FMVP on those teams. Further if he hit some of those shots they’d have 5 titles minimum.

Curry had a pretty good game. His teammates didn't show up.
You guys act like you are above the Skip Baylesses and Steven A Smiths of the world but you deserve them.

50 seconds is actually a weird qualifier IMO. I wonder if it's cherry picked and Curry is like 6-20 inside of 1 minute or something. That's still not great, but not nearly as insulting.

Jesus Christ that is a wild stat. Not the LeBron part, we all know he is insanely clutch, but I figured Curry had at least one game winner in the playoffs

Either way it's going to be an ugly number, but it's definitely cherry picked to get that 0. Shots to tie aren't included either.

Curry's biggest problem in these moments is his shot selection. He almost always wants to hit the big three, regardless of the score and situation.

The Warriors wouldn't be in these games if Steph hadn't played well.

His struggles with shooting late game is because, despite him being the GOAT shooter, he's still a smaller guard and gets forced into shooting really difficult long range bombs. Which he can make, but he hasn't in these situations.

In this game he should've drove past AD for either a layup, a kickout or FT's.
