NBAPA making a statement against political donations in team names is their right, NBAPA making statement against donating to a specific nominee isn NOT their right, they don't have this kind of representation.

This seems like a bit of an overreach to me. The team supported player protests. It let them express their views during uneasy times. But because of where they donated, it’s problematic? Why do they even need to make a statement? If the donation was to the current admin or Gavin Newsom, would they release a statement?

i think this is more about the "slavery teaching people skills that helped them when they were freed" thing as opposed to the GOP itself, so comparison doesnt really matter. If barrack obama had said it, NBA players would still be mad
