Don't follow tennis or football closely, but we have legitimately never seen a guy like Victor, that sort of prototype of player. That's what makes him exciting. He's not just another guy who could be a superstar, we have legitimately never seen a guy at his height move the way he does.

Re: More exciting young phenom Alcaraz, Bellingham or Wembanyama
Yeah thing is if basketball did the same thing as other sports around the world the results would be much better for youngsters imho.
Messi was already in Barcelona’s squad at what 14 or 15? Fabregas and Pique there too
Could you imagine Wemby with Lebron for the best part of 2 years?? Yeesh
Ingram for example had a year in College and his rookie year was a wash (certainly not ready). It happens
It’s a golden goose egg but the US have only themselves to blame. Heck they just did an incredible revamp on the football youth academy stuff
Until that happens it is what it is.

Re: More exciting young phenom Alcaraz, Bellingham or Wembanyama
Alcaraz has a clear path to becoming one of the biggest stars of all sports worldwide, also because he is already winning. If only he maintains the form, he will have a shot at being the next Big of Tennis. I am also excited because the women's tennis has Iga Swiatek who did exciting things last year and is still making me believe that tennis has a new generation of wonder kids.
Wemba has such a high ceiling it's hard not to compare him with the GOATS, but he is still far from being anywhere close to that ceiling. There are many fantastic young players in the NBA currently, and he is only playing his first games after Euroball. I believe he MIGHT become the most exciting once he is having some more playing time.
Bellingham is a fantastic player, and in great form since joining Madrid, but he isn't THE clear best young player in the world just because he got the award recently. He isn't that far from Gvardiol, Musiala, Saka, Gavi (relative to their respective positions on the field, because Gvardiol or Gavi are not goalscorers, nor they are in need of scoring) and, probably the closest one, Pedri (who is injured constantly so obviously he isn't regarded as the clear best youngster in Europe – but any time he is on the pitch the optic is precisely the opposite).
So, hard to say. Ceiling-wise, probably Wemba. Floor-wise, probably Alcaraz (as he seems to be the most accomplished of them all already now. Bellingham isn't anywhere close to them in terms of the floor/ceiling IMO.

I mean, results are obviously gonna be skewed towards the basketball guy asking this on a basketball forum. Wemby excites me a heck of a lot more than the other guys because I watch mostly basketball. I appreciate high level tennis players but I personally find it difficult to watch tennis. As for Jude, I don't watch the Spanish league so it's hard to make a judgment.

I voted Wemby because I had never heard of Bellingham and forgot who Alcaraz was, but the replies are selling me on Alcaraz. I didn't realize he was actually that good, figured he was just the best of the non-Djokavic(/Federer/Nadal) players which hasn't meant much over the past decade, but if he is legit good and he doesn't have 2 other all-time greats competing against him in his prime he could win a ton of majors

As the worldwide sports leader, it's automatically the guy that plays the sport the US cares most about.

I don't watch tennis, but Wembenyama as a talent >>>>>>> Bellingham.
Jude is a midfielder cosplaying and poaching like a striker hoofing in disgusting deflected goals and receiving generational esque hype for it. Where has my sport gone. Where is the technical elegance in the middle of the park to carry the torch forward... (It's there, and Florian Wirtz is coming).

Lovin Wemby so far, looks like he is already pretty high end but with some time, experience and muscle will be unstopable!

I have not watched him, but the fact that Bellingham is English means that he cannot be that great

That's a really good one. Kelvin Kiptum (23) also shattered the fastest Marathon time ever by ~35 seconds. Although I don't know what the variance is wrt this information.

Wemby is by far at the bottom. His ceiling might be up there with them if not higher, but we still have no clue if it'll translate fully. I'd say Alcaraz for now but Bellingham will give him a run for his money once they get a better cast.

All great players, but I’d put Bellingham third. He’s good, but the other 2 have all time potential and influence.
Wemby’s got the scariest ceiling

I think anyone who follows all three sports would vote Alcaraz. He has already reached the pinnacle of his sport and has a much better chance to be the GOAT than Bellingham or Wemby.

Re: More exciting young phenom Alcaraz, Bellingham or Wembanyama
Oh boy... that's a tough one. I had to take a few minutes to decide on who to vote.
I'm going with Alcaraz for now. Best results relative to the competition he faced till now.
For career (whole career), I don't know. Bellingham and Wemby will depend on the quality of the teams they are part of. It's difficult to compare to Alcaraz in this sense, because Alcaraz plays a solo sport.
Jude Bellingham is an english soccer player, midfielder, plays for Real Madrid. Just turned 20 years old a few months ago.
Meteoric rise, just came out of nowhere and is playing on a very high level. Best player to come out of England since a long, long time. Reportedly he's very focused and professional off the court, which is a rarity for young soccer players.
Here's a Wiretap on him from roughly a month ago:
Take a look at this article too, worth the read.

Real Madrid believe their $137 million transfer for Jude Bellingham should be viewed as a bargain given his instant impact and long-term potential, sources tell ESPN.
Sources told ESPN that Madrid think the investment in Bellingham can already be considered a success, both on and off the pitch, and his price tag will "end up looking cheap" because he will "define an era" at the club.
Bellingham has scored eight goals in eight LaLiga starts and has also scored in both Champions League matches.
He's "a professional, from head to toe" a teammate told ESPN, saying he immediately won over the dressing room in pre-season.
"His physique surprised everyone," the source said.
The club believe that Bellingham can be key to growing Madrid's already global brand in English-speaking markets.

Re: More exciting young phenom Alcaraz, Bellingham or Wembanyama
I'm a Real Madrid fan, so I've seen pretty much every game Bellingham has played this season. I love him. I'll probably get my son his jersey for Christmas as he was his favorite player even before he started scoring clutch goals every week. I'm not sure he will keep up his goal scoring pace, but he definitely has room for his game to grow more, at least more than he's demonstrated at Madrid.
I still think I'd take Wembanyama as an exciting phenom simply because we haven't had anyone that quite resembles him before. Jude has been amazing, but we have seen the model, he's just an amazingly precocious version of it. Same with Alcaraz (though I haven't watched as much of him). That makes me see Wemby as the most exciting, even if I'm least confident that he will reach the absolute top of his sport (Alcaraz is already there and Jude is looking to be soon).

Wemby isn't just a great young player, he's one of the most physically unique human beings on the planet.
He's an outlier unlike anything the sport has ever seen before. Watching Wemby feels like science fiction.
