Sengun is the better offensive player but your first post shows nothing beyond an assist advantage for Sengun once you adjust for usage and minutes played.

Chet is the better 3pt and FT shooter and much better defender. Sengun is a better creator both for himself and others on the offensive end.

He quoted a tweet that showed Sengun had better stats. Where did he state that Sengun was better strictly because he was younger?

And while you could argue Chet MIGHT have more absolute potential (debatable), he is also far more injury prone.

So yea I would rather have Sengun overall. Health matters and Chet might not even end up being better overall while having injury issues.

I am also going to say it right here, Sengun's defense is underrated though Chet is obviously better on that end.

the poll results show 46-4. which seems about right. i think lots of nba fans appreciate sengun (myself included) but it's hard to ignore the obvious gap on defensive potential when it's so close on offense to begin with. chet is far ahead in some impact metrics too. the ones that don't have on-off component like bpm might not be teasing out sengun's defensive impact from his teammates' effectively.

Not going to lie the only reason I would even watch a Rockets game is because of Sengun. The team outside of him is pretty bad.

As a Magic fan I'd check YouTube for Rockets highlights to check out Jabari Smith Jr just to see if we missed out on him and I'm glad we drafted Paolo.

But then Sengun started jumping off the screen and I felt if he didn't play with those chucking knuckleheads Jalen Green (who's since settled down some) and Kevin Porter Jr that Sengun was actually the best player on the team imho. And now he's properly being utilized and made huge strides.

I love watching him play. I like JSJ too.

Isn't Sengun like easily a top 25 in the nba guy in some of the advanced stats you nerds value most? I don't know the advanced stats or how to use them anymore.

I liked both of these guys a lot heading into their drafts. I must be a smart and knowledgable guy.

Sengun is a first option with franchise player talent. He is also the same age as Chet (slightly younger).

Chet could have the same talent, but I think his ceiling is a bit lower. Chet is playing as the 2nd/3rd option while Sengun is the #1 focus of the opposing team. This makes a big deal for young players who has not made a leap when this adjustment occurs.
