Lol. You bring up last year's 'western conference Finals run' (where they got swept) and don't mention that the Celtics ALSO got to the conference finals last year, as well as the actual NBA Finals the year before. (and weren't swept either time) I think you would have been good to just mention the bubble ring.

I’m calling it.

This is all a troll parody.

You’ve been at it for at least several days and I commend you on your commitment to the troll.

Well done.

You thought ahead regarding the IST and laid the foundation for a detailed and almost believable troll. You put in much more thought and effort than most.

This is not trolling. This is an awakening using fundamentally sound logic.

Numbers don’t lie.

I'd venture to call it 17.25. This game was as intense as a Finals game so 4 IST Cups should be on par with a chip. Numbers don't lie tho, Lakers are officially up all time and only a chip can straight up put the Celtics ahead

NBA championship is a tournament with 16 teams
IST championship is a tournament with 30 teams

This is not a “Championship.”

If anyone truly believes this 5th vs 5th game has anything to do with Championships, I dare the franchise to put this banner in their rafters like it is equivalent, and withstand the mockery.

i assume the Lakers organization is better than this, even if their posters are not.

I mean, 8 or 9 of those Celtic titles are from a time when there like 7 team altogether. I'd still take em here in sacramento, don't get me wrong - i just think the Lakers and their number of titles have always been more impressive.

Too funny guys. Drunk Scoundreldays enjoys these threads. I immediately texted my buddy who is from Boston on this. Awaiting response.

Lakers' titles have always been more impressive anyway. Like what the poster above me said, they won in nearly every era.

The state of California always wins.

Other states and residents of other states are always going to be 2nd tier. 8-)

13 of Celtics' championships actually belong to the Buffalo Braves which became the San Diego Clippers which became the LA Clippers. So the city of LA has 25 championships combined. Checkmate

I didn’t write that 2017 article. Just sharing it here.

But I guess the point of the article being, even without the bubble ring & the “conference finals run”, BR had the Lakers as the best franchise ever..
