The Kings Last Dance will be bigger than MJs Last Dance just like Space Jam 2 was bigger than the OG Space Jam.

If you ask me LeBron just seems to be better at everything than MJ was.

Space jam 2 was not even close to the original lol.

Lebron doesn’t have the “it” factor compared to Jordan. That’s the key difference between the 2

Some of those hand shake performances combined with photo teammate moments were next level though

How's the kings last dance ending? Getting swept by the nuggets?

It's not done yet, LeBron still playing and he just won the MVP of NBA's inaugural tournament. How did MJ's last dance end anyway, getting destroyed at Philadelphia by 20 points and lead the Wizards to lottery?

Except winning NBA titles.

So Bill Russell is your GOAT?

No but Russell was better at winning titles than Jordan. There’s multiple factors that go into the GOAT conversation.

I have Jordan and James as 1A and 1B and can’t really hate on anyone for who they have as the GOAT.

Then from his return to Cleveland until now. I think this part would also make the HOF. But I never heard of a player, who made the HOF by only playing 4 years. Did that ever happen?

Atleast 7 players made the HOF by only playing 4 years or less in NBA like Petrovic who died in a tragic car accident.

Umm the King's last dance is ending with him damn near breaking every all-time record in basketball. He's going to finish top 5 in a lot of categories. That scoring record is only going to grow.

1st Cavs stint definitely not.

The heat stint they were expected to win multiple titles, they only won 2. Kind of a disappointment.

The Cavs won 1, which was impressive while incredibly lucky at the same time. Bad timing running into curry.

The lakers won 1 in a bubble. The rest of the years were kind of underwhelming.

The Olympics is rather disappointing having a bronze medal.

The basketball hall of fame is rather a low bar but sure I guess you could make an argument for each. But each section is probably mired in disappointment and not meeting expectations with the team. I guess in totality some people see it has a goat tier resume though.

No MVP has ever not made the HOF, let alone a 2x MVP winner

37.4 PER in 2009 playoffs, back-to-back NBA MVP and taking 2007 lottery team Cavs to NBA Finals is definitely not a Hall-of-famer type of run for you?
That 7-year stint was a much better career than atleast 99% of NBA players who played atleast a single game in history.

Yeah I'm thinking he's being disingenuous.

LeBron's Heat and Cavs 2.0 yrs including accolades are highlighted by 2 separate 4yr stints where he went to the Finals in all 4yrs twice!

If any player had an ENTIRE CAREER of 4yrs total while going to the Finals in all 4yrs, winning 2 of 4 in MIA OR winning 1 of 4 in CLE along with the individual All NBA accolades etc we'd be talking about what the guy could've been but their career was cut too short.

Some people think D Rose should be in for one season of 25/7/5 on 45% shooting. So I guess like 19 or 20 hall of fame careers for LeBron .

Kareem has 6 hall of fame careers. Take that...

Heh. Didn't expect anything less from LeBron than tacky copycat move what players better than he did in the past. Except in this case they are following lottery team nobody cares for and front figure busy padding his stats so nobody even notices they are about to miss the playoffs.

But if the poster doesn't like the player, they don't deserve to be in the HOF. That's clearly how it works.

I'm positive he'd have been a first ballot HOF lock regardless but forming Super Teams at every stop in order to win championships certainly enhanced the resume. Had he stayed in Cleveland there's really no way of knowing if he'd have ever won. There's no reason to assume anyone of substance would have joined him since their records were too good to get high draft picks and nobody would want to sign in Cleveland as a FA. His resume would look a whole lot different with great stats and 0-2 rings. Probably similar to Wilt and that would prevent him from being in the GOAT conversations.

Just answering the threads question, if you break them up like he did and consider them completely separate and independent, the answer might actually be zero.

He didn't do enough in the first stop at Cleveland, failing to win a championship.

In Miami he formed a super team and went 2-2 in the Finals but he was only there for 4 years and no HOF career should be based solely on 4 years.

The second Cleveland stop he formed another Super Team and only went 1-3 in the Finals and was there just four years so again, no.

Lakers he yet again forms a super team and has a joke bubble ring so that's not a HOF career.

But that's not how it should be split up. Should be...

In Cleveland - 11 years, 5 Finals 1 ring, 2 MVPs and that is HOF
Out of Cleveland - 10 years, 5 Finals, 3 rings, 2 MVPs and that is HOF

And the Out of Cleveland career would be the superior career

just FYI MJ also had two HOF careers. First stint with the Bulls pre-retirement. The everything after.
