Pacers have to win this one for their coach

They have to play with the fire in their belly
Stop being so disrespectful.

carlisle not calling at timeout in game 1 and 3 in the final seconds is a pretty big conversation point this series.

Kp out. Hali likely out. I suspect if the series was 2-1 or 1-2 kp would be playing. Up 3-0 no chance they have him play

Why do you say this? KP hasn't even practiced yet. He's not ready.

We need to start accepting the possibility of him being done for the year.

It’s a 4-8 week recovery. He’s at week 4 now. With NBA players having full time treatment available to them, they’re usually back faster than say you or I would be.

He’ll have another week and half off if they beat Pacers tomorrow which will be close to 6 weeks.

Carlisle knows that he's getting shafted by the officials because "he's a small market team", right? I mean, "The league wants Boston vs. Dallas", right Rick? Oh, wait. His coward a$$ won't say that dumb crap now because he's up against a full strength Celtic team expected to dismantle his Hoosiers and not about to get his a$$ beat down by the Knicks B team. Pacers are garbage and suddenly injured Haliburton is in street clothes looking like a Huxtable while his team drags. Goofy needs to wear that Reggie choke hoodie inside out so that if faces inward. From coach to players that team is SOFT!

Is it that bad? i thought he was already potentially playing in one of these games in Indiana? Would a 1 week rest even not enough to guarantee a comeback?

Pressure is off a bit after the comeback on Saturday but would be really nice to just finish the job tonight. Have a lot of faith in this Celtics team but still thought this series would go 6 because I was expecting one game where the Celtics go bozo mode (Game 1 was that game) and another game where the Pacers just shoot the lights out (First half of Game 3, though fortunately for us they were going crazy on mid range shots and not threes which make a comeback feasible). Surviving both of those makes me feel good about a sweep but not easy to win in Indiana this postseason. Good in-game adjustments in the second half of Game 3 to prevent the first half onslaught at the rim the Pacers executed perfectly, curious to see if that holds in Game 4.

Shams said 2 days ago that KP was absolutely good to go for the finals game 1, with a strong possibly of him playing in the ECF. They are absolutely just holding him out rn imo

Just stick a fork in this one (and the WCF although I'm not certain DAL closes them out as quickly) and let's get to the Finals already lol

While I get the excitement going into the MIN/DAL series because of the perceived (and legitimate) strength of the Western Conference. BOS/DAL will be THE best matchup stylistically plus how each franchise has a star player who's history intertwines with the other...

You have the style matchup where Kyrie & Luka are gonna get pushed a lot more on either end of the court where not only can BOS throw White/Jrue at Ky and Jrue/Brown/Tatum at Luka to wear them down offensively. But defensively they're not gonna be able to hide those guys. The only question is how locked in will Brown & Tatum be offensively. I know the general public likes to criticize Tatum (I've done so myself & I think at times it's fair) but it really is important that he can challenge Luka to work on that end.

I don't mean that he has to battle to prove he's the best player on the court (although that would be AMAZING, I'd LOVE to see superstars duke it out and how massive that would be for Tatum to silence all his critics) BUT he can't be passive/inconsistent with his effort. I could really see BOS just wear them out but they gotta keep their foot on the gas against DAL.

PLUS the fun part is the bitter personal history between Luka/KP and more so the city of Boston with Kyrie lol. Sure maybe we'll get some fun highlights of Luka trash talking KP but I wanna see how Kyrie handles the full fury of Boston coming down on him in a Finals. Will be able to keep his composure & sticking to the script or playing to the crowd and start trying to do too much?! Plus who knows if this leads to Luka becoming a heel in BOS which would add a layer when they like to compare him to Bird lol

I think this Finals is gonna surprise people with how fun & competitive it ends up being!

Is there any doubt about that?

After losing game 1 after Brown grabbed Siakam's jersey in an inbounds situation (eventually resulting in a turnover IND). In game 2, apparently there was a foul not called again.

Can you imagine if roles were reversed and two games had those calls at the end the other way?

Pacers are indeed giving weird vibes.

They made a fuss when they lost to the Knicks in g2 - Carlisle gets kicked out because the refs corrected a bad call! Obviously that came after a controversial g1, where they indeed had an unlucky call.

Yet they then turn around and now have been more quiet. Hell, they quit on a playoff game even.

I do disagree that they're soft though. Like other teams who get lucky, it's also not their fault that teams have injuries.

Semi serious post. I just want to get insulted online.
