This will be year 3 for Lauri in Utah, and I feel like he has worn far more different Utah jerseys than Stockton did in his 19 years in Utah.

I get why they do this (to pump up jersey sales), but at some point losing brand recognition has to start hurting the product.

Like when I think of Stockton, instant image pops up with him wearing a jersey with the mountains or with the big J music symbol.

Lauri in 2 years with the Jazz, do you picture him in those blank black jerseys, the blank yellow ones, the blank white ones with just the J symbol, the mountains with Utah covering them, or the mountains with Jazz covering them. Thats just in 2 years, now new ones are coming.

The goal with the re-brand the last couple of seasons I'd imagine they were thinking to roll with for the foreseeable future. Then the backlash from fans / media I'm sure caused them to pivot into a re-brand as quickly as possible. The new designs I'm sure will be the main palette for at least the next 5-10 years

How is this a rebrand? Because it says UTAH instead of JAZZ?

I hated all Utah Jazz uniforms, I know purple ones are classic, but it was always ugly. That said, they made it look decent, I think it is definitely an upgrade from whatever it was, for the first time made those purple uniforms look ok without much change, didnt know it was possible. Maybe in game it will look bad, but from seeing it here, these has to be my favorite Utah Jazz uniforms to date, I like it.

P.S. I never understood why Utah Jazz are called Utah Jazz. Not the Jazz part, I know stupid history of that, but why Utah, and not Salt Lake City Jazz? Utah is a damn state, we do not have Ohio Cavaliers.

Great rebrand. They modernized the 90's unis and thats the way to go. I dunno what were they thinking with the last black and yellow rebrand

As long as they get rid of those terrible yellow jerseys it's a win in my book.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.

The Lakers and C's classics are still the best cause they don't change just for change and won tons of hardware and banners with them.

Great job! As most of us have stated, the B/Y ones were terrible. This is excellent.

Eh. I'm a much bigger fan of the purple, yellow, and green Jazz note look. The mountain look should be incorporated into alternates imo.

I can't wait until this minimalism design trend is over. Every team should start having fun jerseys.

wait..you think THAT is minimalism?

Not 100% minimalism for the new Jazz jerseys, but it's a step above minimalism imo. They're simple & clean.

I actually like it and wish more teams did it. All Minnesota sports teams are "Minnesota" not Minneapolis or St Paul. Golden State is California's nickname not SF or Oakland. Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans. It is uncommon but not unheard of.

yup, Lebron's career is as remeroable as anyone but his Cleveland uniforms are so forgettable because they never stook with any branding.

Kinda wish it was just home/away. Hope they don't change it up again.

I love the mountain looks become it reminds me of the Malone/Stockton days. Oddly enough when i first saw the mountain design in the 90s i hated it because it seemed like a ripoff of the Nuggets jerseys.
