SF : Batum / Coulibaly / Cordinier
PF : Wembanyama / Yabusele
C : Gobert / Lessort

12th spot is between Hifi Okobo and Strazel to me...

I would take Hoard (PF) instead of Cordinier (SF). Wemby should play center.
As 12th man Hifi could be interesting. Whoever defends on him, i think he will always score!

I'd like to pick Strazel more than Albicy. He gets "slow". De Colo too, but his vision is still great if he comes out the Bench.

Not the same position, Hoard plays 4, Cordinier (who's a 3) offers mobility, explosivity and perimeter defense that hoard cannot offer.
With Batum being able to play 4 we already have 5 players who can play inside, we need to stretch the game more, so I prefer Cordinier, a perfect mission guy !

Ousmane Dieng looking like a draft miss for OKC so far.

Gobert and Wembanyama in the front court. Geez, that is devastating.

DeAndre Ayton, Buddy Hield and Eric Gordon all played for Bahamas but some 18 year old kid named Edgecomb stole the show. Looks like a future star player.

Wemby back in action! France kicks off its Olympics preparation with a friendly against Turkey tonight at 9pm CET. The game is on L'EquipeTV or lequipe.fr for free, but it might be geoblocked.
It's also broadcast on the NBA website but it's geoblocked in France so I cant check.
https://www.nba.com/watch/event/france-vs-turkey

France has a busy schedule ahead of the tournament with other friendlies against Germany (back-to-back), Serbia, Canada and Australia.

France could win gold this year, but 2028 is when that probably really happens, Wemby will be the best player in the world and all the wings they've sent to the league have had a few years to play and a couple of them turn into something. The only place they lack is PG, and they have Traore coming as a potential top 10 pick next year at that position.

Easy win for France with their defense on full display, Turkey just couldnt score and had to resort to shooting 3s or free throws. The Wemby/Gobert/Yabusele frontcourt rotation is going to be tough to handle for most teams. Can't wait for the friendly against Serbia to see how Jokic handles it. Good game from Hifi and Maledon, they probably scored points to make the final team.

France will prob #1 in few years.
Traore is a better player and prospect than cooper flagg. I wouldn't be shocked if he goes #1 in this upcoming draft.

Australia currently playing some friendlies against China in both the men and women (and para and 3x3 as well) here in Melbourne.
For the men, Australia has basically their full squad here, but have played some of the key guys limited minutes, and are checking out the end of bench guys. Currently got a squad of 17 that needs to be trimmed down.

Chris Goulding got a 'last guy in the squad' gig at the Worlds, but I wonder if Jack McVeigh might be starting to push him aside. I don't think anyone saw McVeigh making the team, but apparently he's been great at camp (guy is a livewire personality) and he balled out against China on Tuesday.
(Team high 24, including 6 of 8 threes)

Whomever they take in that end of bench shooting role probably gets basically no court time, if I'm judging on recent experience, but McVeigh is a very good shooter (not Goulding level) and is younger, longer, and less bad defensively, so...he might just make a play.

A guess at our final team, but we play China again tonight;

P.Mills/D.Exum
J.Giddey/D.Daniels
J.Green/M.Thybulle
J.Ingles/N.Kay
J.Landale/D.Reath

Maybe Xavier Cooks and Chris Goulding as my guesses for the final 2 spots?
Weak at the 4, hence why I think they'll take Cooks (or Jack White), but if they don't, it would be Will Magnay, a pretty interesting big who seems over his injury troubles, finally.

Indeed it seems like a golden generation for France, much like it was for Argentina and Spain at the beginning of the 2000's.

I know it’s only China, but when we have our defensive lineup on, it’s pretty damn hard to score.

Is Dellavedova still good? I know he plays in the NBL now but I dont watch it, I've watched one game in my life it was a few months ago to check on Alex Sarr.
Ingles has been one of my favorite players of the past decade both for his style of play and his character but last season he looked completely washed.

I love Delly but he has no place in that 12 over Thybulle and Goulding. I'm not even sure Ingles should be there either but there was no way he wasn't getting picked.

Delly was unplayable by the end of the last games. He's been good for Sydney in the NBL but I can't see what contributions he's going to make over those other guys, who have genuine weapons.

Thybulle being cut is Lunacy to me. He was EVERYWHERE in the 1st Qtr of that first China game. Coach obviously happy enough with Daniels, Green and Exum as our POA and wing defence, which is still very good.

Magnay is a surprise pick for me. We must be very worried about other teams size, as I didn't think he performed well in either game against the Chinese. And in general, he offers nothing on offense.

Golding showed his value as being someone who can impact a game in a short space of time, when points are needed. His defense is porous, but thought his shooting may get him there.

Cooks played well against China, but his lack of shooting and horrid FT% is a minus for him.
Sometimes a player's greatest challenge is coming to grips with his role on the team
