Makes sense on Denver or Golden State. Denver needs to roll the dice on someone like him. Golden State needs a Klay replacement, he could be that guy.

Isaac and Cole Anthony for Lavine?
Carter/Bitadze/Wagner
Banchero/DeSilva
Wagner/Howard/Houston
Lavine/KCP/Harris
Suggs/Black/Joseph
Go Knicks!

Re: Where can Lavine thrive ?
If there's a team in dire need of a 2-dimensional player, then Lavine is perfect.
When we got Lavine, I was happy it was him and not another T-Wolve. But I remember telling friends not to expect much because
he has a very 2-dimensional and undynamic game and there wasn't potential for much else. Nothing's changed but he definitely
briefly peaked with his skillset.

Detroit to pair with Cunningham in the backcourt or Houston because he is better than Jalen Green.

To your point, Chicago's most accurate reporter said Detroit was the closest to closing a Lavine trade last season. They opted to spend their cap on Harris/Hardaway obviously, but I do think Lavine is going to be seen more as a floor raiser for a bad team than a ceiling raiser for a contending team. This year he's been extremely efficient scoring and he does it more off the dribble than roleplayers.
I would think most contending teams want an off-ball player to complement their existing stars.

Disagree.
When he's healthy (and that's a big IF) he averages 34 MPG and often takes 20+ shots per game. ORL is trying to establish a defensive identity while developing their young guards Suggs and Black. There simply isn't enough touches or minutes in their backcourt especially when you consider Wagner/Paulo need their touches too. Not to mention the Magic cannot afford to pay Lavine $49 mil in the 26-27 season when they need to pay their young guys. Suggs and Wagner's extensions will have already kicked in and Banchero still needs to be extended off his rookie deal.

I don't think he makes sense on either team honestly. Rockets have enough guards. Pistons would probably rather keep developing Ivey and keep their books cleaner.
I feel like Lavines best stops are the usual suspects. Lakers/Kings/Warriors/Suns. Teams that are kind of backed into a corner, have older cores and are trying to win now. He'd be pretty low cost asset wise, just need to match the salaries. Lakers are the only obvious team that could pull that off:
D'Lo/Rui/Vincent/Hood-Shafino for Lavine/Duarte
Go Knicks!

Re: Where can Lavine thrive ?
If Ivey hasn't stepped up as a consistent secondary scorer/creator by the trade deadline, I wouldn't be against making a move for Lavine, if the cost is reasonable enough (i.e. not giving first rounders up or anyone like Ausar).
In theory we have the rim protection (Beefstew), wing defense (Ausar, Holland), shooters (Harris, Beasley, THJ), and primary playmaker (Cade) that Lavine needs around him and he has the scoring and creation we need to take some of the offensive load off of Cade.

Problem with Lavine is that he is owed nearly 100 million over the next two seasons after this season. He is extremely overpaid and is a poor defender. How does Detroit feel about Jaden Ivey? Detroit needs offense, cause its pretty much Cunningham, Beasley, and Ivey offensively for them. I could see a trade here for sure but Lavine is 29 and expensive. Also, would Lavine and Cunningham mesh?

Depends on what Detroit thinks of Ivey. They need offensive talent desperately. In regards to Houston, i think Lavine is an upgrade to Jalen Green and Houston is most certainly a playoff team.
Phoenix have Beal and Booker, Sacramento has plenty of offense, Golden St. would need to move Wiggins to make this work which would make their perimeter defense worse. I dont think he moves the needle for LA, especially giving up Rui.

San Antonio maybe?
But honestly, I don't think anyone wants him at the money he is at.

I always thought he'd eventually end up LA. It's not the perfect spot per say, but they have a lot of the ingredients necessary to limit his shortcomings. He fills a vital need at guard as a go-to scorer, 3pt spacer and someone who can run/put pressure on the rim. Honestly just an upgrade all around from what they are getting from D'Lo + Gabe and with Bron running the show his subpar playmaking would be exposed as it is now in Chicago.
I think he has it in him to become a solid POA defender when motivated.

Lavine is underrated but his salary is the problem.

Re: Where can Lavine thrive ?
actually,,,,right where he is
as a medium sized fish in a small pond
anyone who would think he's a big fish, and there isn't anyone is there?,,, is delusional. he has faced all kinds of ire from all fronts. so he's a medium fish, not a guppy. and medium fishes "thrive" in small ponds, which is exactly where he is @bulls. it's only when he goes through a mini spurt that people start rethinking zach....and then something happens
let me remind you because it seems almost implausible, he's in the 10th year!!
